HOORAY!
The Atari curse is lifted! NO PEGGY WEBBER!!
(Although, I did predict that Swamp Diamonds would be the next Corman release before other, better, choices).
Still, no complaints from me. Not if Megalon is on the set.
HOORAY!!

I have to join everybody else in saying WOWEEZERS, they're actually releasing a _Godzilla_ episode?! One of the ones that was considered among THE hardest to get?!
...dare I say it...if they can get Godzilla, does this perhaps mean that the potential of releasing at least one Gamera episode might have been upgraded from "impossible" to just "very very improbable"?
...ooh...
I hope they can eventually release Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster, too, sometime down the line. I like that one better than Megalon. But this still kicks some serious boo-tay!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it!!! How the hell did Rhino get ahold of MEGALON? WOW!!!! The cover sucks (like almost all of Rhino's covers), it would be more suitible for a set w/ FUTURE WAR. But that's ok. GREAT list of extras too!!!!! I must be dreaming.... AND GIANT SPIDER INVASION! One of my favs from the SciFi channel era. This set looks like it'll be the best yet! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTT!!!!!! Don't count on Rhino releasing GODZILLA VS. THE SEA MONSTER though. Sony has the home video rights to that. Due to Goodtimes going bankrupt (who apparently had the rights), Megalon most likely reverted back to Toho (Since Gaiem didn't choose to buy their film libarary when they bought GT). Very interesting indeed. I certainly hope this doesn't hinder with the possiblity of a quality dual language/widescreen DVD release otherwise.

High fives all around ;D
Big huge @55 news, I mean, I am full of emotion over here. Not only do we get, gasp, a Godzilla movie, but another Beverly Garland film, Mikey and he didn't steal no bike, neither! whining out lines at will, and Mr. Snuffle-upagus attacking Wisconsin. All I have to say is:
GO PACKERS!

Godzilla vs. Megalon? Well, I'm be a son of a bitch. I NEVER thought it would happen. Folks, this leaves ANYTHING possible. I think Rhino is not sparing any expense. Rhino seems to be listening, and you know what, props to them. If they keep up on their quality control as far as the look of the episodes, I'll have little to gripe about which will make Udvankory's purpose meaningless. Of course this had to be about two weeks after I purchase 212 for my DVD collection.

Man, great news about Godzilla!
It's a prett great set for the most part; the only ep I'm kinda "meh" on is Swamp Diamonds, though it's been awhile since I've seen it.
I think it's cool that they went with the evenly divided "2 Joel's, 1 CC Mike, 1 SciFi Mike" method, like they did with Vol. 10.

We should have known after TISCWSLABMUZ that things were a changin' with regards to what was and what was not on the table.

The cover though.....man, looks like it was done by a Rhino employee's little brother.

212 is shocking, but it's been clear to me for a while that cost isn't a problem with Rhino. One of the first episodes they put on DVD was Catalina Caper, an episode with various rights problems. They put out Merlin too, which also had rights problems. There's probably more, but I can't think of them right now.
No, Rhino's real problem is a lack of extras, and it looks like they're getting the idea now. Well done, Rhino, well done.

I wonder if there's been some change in how Rhino is acquiring the rights that makes it easier to get the movies; as someone pointed out earlier, Vol. 10 has a list on the back cover of where the "underlying rights" to each movie come from, which the other 9 volumes didn't have this info.

What a great set. Two that I really like (Godzilla Vs. Megalon and Giant Spider Invasion) and two that I've never seen before. The extras sound cool, too. I know what I'm giving myself for a birthday present!
