Phew! I got it in the mail today. It was from Caimon Media or something like that, an Amazon seller. Looks like I ordered mine just in time before it became scarce. That's good news, Blurryeye. Caiman is kinda notorious for listing items on Amazon/Half that they don't currently have in stock.

To be honest i wouldn't start yelling at Rhino about this because the set is still available at stores like Borders who are selling them for 50 bucks instead of 60... ...but then there are those of us in other countries whose only way of getting these sets is online...admittedly, there aren't that many of us, but we do exist. Well, I do.

I am supposed to be getting mine from DVDLegacy, an Amazon seller. They took their money out of my account so they better deliver, lol.

Yeah, so far, I've never had a bad experience with an Amazon seller. In fact, I think I prefer them to ordered direct from Amazon. (Except for that one time when I Accuse My Parents got run over by a vehicle, but that was the USPS's fault.)

I could probably find quite a few of them in brick and mortar stores around here if anyone's having trouble locating a copy.

Most of the Borders around me have one or two copies in.

Man, I wish I had read this thread before ordering my copy on Amazon JUST NOW. I says I'll recieve my copy sometime in early December. I guess I'll try my luck at a couple local retailers before cancelling it or rolling the dice to see if they actually send it. I'm not very hopeful, however.
EDIT: On second thought, I cancelled it. I already have these episodes on VHS, soon to be encoded onto DVD by me, anyway. I've enjoyed them this way for ten years or more. Why change?

Do you think Amazon would have vol. 10 available for purchase through the used or new section?

Well, I guess it's official.
From Satellite News:
LATEST NEWS -- November 14
VOLUME 10 UPDATE Several readers have written to us in the past few days saying that they can no longer find The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: Volume 10 on store shelves. Some readers have been told that there indeed has been a recall of the set. So if you still haven't picked up a copy, you may want to do so immediately, if you can still find it.
This recall has not affected the release of The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: Volume 11 which, as far as we know, is still tentatively due out in February.
I swear that Amazon seller better give me my copy. It still hasn't shown up. I'm starting to get nervous now.

I wouldn't worry too much. You probably will be able to get one off Amazon Marketplace. I don't think the recall will affect small sellers as much as it will the larger ones.
Also, this isn't really all that official. Satellite News seems to only be reporting what fans have told them. That doesn't sound any more official than us reporting and reading it on these boards. Rhino really needs to send out a proper statement.

Has there been an official reason for it going OOP? Nobody's saying. But I heard a hot rumour... this is all about the box art. (And yeah, that's all that I heard. Not movie rights, but the box art...)

Not movie rights, but the box art...) If this is true, then Rhino needs to be smacked in the back of the head BUT HARD. I'd rather have no art on the box than have box art be the reason it's pulled. That is, as we say, a pile of bovine Feces. Have little jimmy draw it for all I care.

That's an interesting rumor. You have to wonder what on the box art warranted a recall, which must lose them money somehow. Maybe there was some copyrighted image on it somewhere? Someone who isn't me should figure it out.
Edit: Ah, so we think it's Godzilla?
