Back again for more punishment, the Out of Time series asks: What MiSTed films from Season 1 were the most dated?
My picks are:
#102 - Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy
#104 - Women of the Prehistoric Planet
#109 - Project Moonbase
#111 - Moon Zero Two and
#112 - Untamed Youth
So which season 1 films didn't stand up to the test of time?

Definitely that Mad Monster one! It was like it was set in 1910! Argh! And I agree, Moon Zero Two had that same sort of 2001 feel to it, but in a totally turn off way. That was the same guy from The Andromeda Strain though wasn't it? I was watching it one night and suddenly in my mind I heard the guy saying, "This thing could unleash a thousand mutations etc..."

Yea, James Olson was Captain Kemp in MZT and Dr. Hall in The Andromeda Strain. Looking over the IMDB, I see he also played Senator Bob Myers in Maude. Additionally, MZT has Catherine Von Schell (Maya in Space: 1999) Warren Mitchell (Abdul in Help!,) Adrienne Corri (Lara's mother in Dr. Zhivago) and Carol Cleveland (The female Monty Python member.) With a good cast, you can't go wrong, right? Wrong. |
