Hey all, I just wanted to give a quick plug for my site. I have commited myself to watching every (available) episode of MST3K in one year. I have been posting reviews and impressions for a week or two now, so come join in on the fun. ayitt.notheater.orgThanks! Tarantulas

A very nice idea... I've been thinking of starting a little review site of my own. Thanks for taking one of the few original angles left! Seriously tho, good luck the rest of the way. I've really enjoyed the KTMA reviews, so far I've read about half of them and will bookmark your site and follow you along your journey. EDIT: I would recommend that everyone checks out their fan made short which can be downloaded from the link above. I forget the name, but basically it's "Body Care and Grooming" that replaces the college kids with grade school kids. I was a little dissapointed that a number of J&tB's riffs from BC&G were recycled in this, but the original ones that the No Theater guys come up with are pretty solid. A few of them had me laughing out loud in my cubicle. The "California Dreaming" and "young JFK" riffs would probably rival anything the Brains would come up with if watching the same short. Overall, a very worthwhile download.

I, too, am enjoying the KTMA reviews (and I notice that you took basically the same screenshots _I_ found interesting, which makes the ones I sent in to Mighty Jack's...not seem so "unique" anymore (whoops!)) as I find the early days of the show interesting and wish that more fans would pay real attention to these episodes as individual episodes instead of just going "It wasn't as good as the later stuff" and brushing quiclky past it. You've got some neat stuff, there.
A couple of _leetle_ nitpicks, however...
1. Your longer reviews could reeeeaaaaallly use some paragraphing/line breaks. The movie descriptions are all in one huge chunk, which is VERY hard to read. It's like, The Paragraph That Ate Minneapolis, or something. Figure out where the natural subject breaks are in your descriptions and make a new paragraph each time, and they'll be way more readable.
2. You're spelling Larry's last name wrong. (It's "Erhardt", not "Earheart".) As both a Spelling Nitpicker _and_ in my position as "Oldschool Girl!" I'm sorry, I just had to point that out. Forgive me if I'm being annoying. But I thought you'd probably like as much accuracy on your site as possible, so...
Other than that, though, good job! I can't wait to see what you say about the later stuff too. Oh yeah. :)

Where did you get those episodes from? The quality of those pictures you have posted is great. WAY better than the fan copies i own.

I find this journey of yours fascinating. I've been working my way through the series myself, I'm up to 202 - The Sidehackers. I've bookmarked your site and plan to check it out every few weeks to see how our thoughts compare.

Just a quite note to say that the forum registration on my site is fixed, so if you want to stop by and tell me how terrible the project is, feel free.
Sadly yours,

I have been posting reviews and impressions for a week or two now, so come join in on the fun. Whoa! I just noticed this thread today... oddly enough, I came up with exactly same idea, myself. Though I'll be calling my experiment "A Year on the Satellite of Love" ;D I'll be posting mini-reviews on my blog here: kernunrex.blogspot.com/2006/01/mystery-science-theater-3000.htmlGotta complete the colleciton, first, though. Guess we both got inspired by Mr. Murphy's book, eh? I'll bookmark yah and read your reviews after I write my own. That'll be fun!

Wait? You sent me screen shots? I haven't seen them, did you post them on the board or PM 'em to me? I say this because I don't want you to think I was rude and ignoring you. But I seriously didn't receive any screenshots - sorry. Also - great site. I've been checking it out the past month and enjoyed what I've read so far. (Couldn't get the fanvid to play for me though - bummer)

I also plan on doing this, but I need to get all of the episodes first (I have 63 of them).
I figure that I'll have them all by the end of 2006 and then when 2007 starts I'll watch one a day and write my thoughts about them down and maybe have a site for it.

I thought I did (send Mighty Jack screenshots)...um....whoops? They might not be on my Photobucket account anymore, in fact... But I still have a whole folder full of MST pictures on my hard drive, so I'm sure they're still in there. I'm'a go look for them. (The KTMA ones. I'm not sure how "unique" my later ones are...)
And Tarantulas, your site is NOT terrible. I like it a lot, in fact. :) The only real problem is it could use some more paragraph spacing/line breaks--that would make it a lot easier to read. Otherwise, you're doing a bang-up job.
