Greetings all, After a few years of writing MST3K reviews for my own amusement (and as practice, but that's another story), I finally ran out of episodes. I wondered, albeit momentarily, what to do with this mountain of irrelevant ramblings, and eventually decided they'd be happiest with all their brother and sister ramblings on the internet. They can now be found at mst3kfanguide.blogspot.com. The site includes full reviews of every cable episode of MST3K, along with mini-reviews of all available KTMA episodes. Feel free to visit, if you've a mind.

I like how in-depth you go in your reviews but...
A 3-point grading system? 1-Bad, 2-Okay, 3-Good?

You're one of two people to make that comment about the rating system since I put the site up yesterday. Personally, I think that trying to translate a wholly subjective judgement into a mathematically precise rating is a little ridiculous, but it seems that I may be alone in that opinion.
Anyone else have an opinion to share on the subject? The rating system would be relatively easy to change if no one likes it but me.

Well, the 3-point system just not a very good reflection of your opinion on the episode. And its not a strong reccomendation for potential viewers.
I mean...if there's an episode you absolutely love, and another thats really good but you don't LOVE it, you give both of them a 3/3.
The variations of your reactions to an episode aren't represented at all with a 3 poit system. You might as well have a 2-point system.
I personally find the 13-point "A+,A,A-, etc." suffices quite well. Even a simpler "A, B, C, D, F" could do.

I don't object to your ratings system. When I read other people's reviews, I'm more concerned with their thoughts than their grades. And I quite enjoy reading your reflections - I look forward to checking out your views on all 195-plus episodes.

I've checked out a few of your reviews and I have to say that you have a low tolerance for pain and repeat viewings.
By the way, Monster a-Go-Go was actually directed by Hershel Gordon Lewis but by using parts of a movie by Bill Rebane {the better parts, amusingly}. It's amazing that HG actually knew how bad a movie he was making but went ahead and finished it anyway.
