From the "Did You Know?" files:
Forrest Gump was originally to be directed by Terry Gilliam with Bill Murray in the title role.
Just imagining how great that would have been makes me hate that movie even more.

I don't go to the movies anymore. But there was a time when i did. So I can honestly say Pulp Fiction was the last great movie I saw in a theater. We don't go that often either. (Or if we do, we usually go to the Cheap Theater.) You're lucky if there's one or two good movies a year worth seeing.

Didn't like Forrest Gump. Shawshank was great, although Stephen King's novella is better. Pulp Fiction was good, but I can't say I've had the urge to see it again. Four Weddings and a Funeral I saw, but can remember nothing about.
I voted for Quiz Show, which I loved and have seen at least ten times. But if Ed Wood had been on the list, I would have voted for that in a second. A brilliant piece of filmmaking, and a movie I never tire of watching.

Four Weddings and a Funeral I saw, but can remember nothing about. The only thing I remember about this was that Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean, Blackadder) played a priest. He had a couple funny scenes.

I just finished watching Pulp Fiction for the first time. Color me unimpressed. What's with the dialogue? Did Tarrentino think, "Hey, I know, I'll make it like Seinfeld, but it'll be darker, yeah!" Aren't you supposed to care about a character in a broad sense before you can have any sort of interest in the minutiae of their life? The movie was decent in spots, but overall does not live up to its reputation. Seeing Roadrash was a rate treat, though.
