If you didn't know already, Ran is getting the Criterion treatment in November. Looks like it'll get better extras and picture quality this time out. Go check out criterionco.com for more info.

I saw it on original release. Great film. As I've said elsewhere Steven Spielberg stole many of the affects in the battle scenes for his Saving Private Ryan.
I do remember some guys behind me laughing at a lot of it, esp. the ending with the blind guy almost going off the cliff. I wanted to punch them.
