I started this for what people think are the worst comedy films, particularly ones that are very successful.
What spurred this on is Meet The Fockers, which made something like $300 million, but is one of the most UNFUNNY comedies I have ever seen! (And I liked Meet the Parents.) Everything in it was bad sitcom level schtick - so bad, that I've changed my mind: I don't like Meet the Parents anymore for unleashing this megaturd on the world!
(I'm just glad I saw it as a rental instead of full-price at the theater)

Oh, agreed. But I think the good donmac means Hollywood "hits" or something.
I hate the Farelly Brothers. I've gotten a lot of flack for it, but I just can't stand their movies. I walked out of "Dumb and Dumber" in the theatre and went into "Generations". That's pretty bad. I had someone try to force me to watch "There's Something About Mary" and I left in disgust. I like crass humor very much, thank you, but the writing is juts atrocious and the performances make me want to gag. I feel no empathy for the characters and the plots are usually beyond stupid.
I also hated "Road Trip". I tried to watch it, tried to figure out why people love it, and sat there while others laughed around me. As Adrian Edmondson once said, "I got it. I just didn't think it was funny."

Oh, agreed. But I think the good donmac means Hollywood "hits" or something. Yeah, I meant "Non-MST" comedies, so I retitled this thread to indicate that.

Do you want only big budget comedies, or can we include such turdbergers as Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla

Any comedy films are okay, as long as they are (a) intentional comedies, and (b) not featured in an MST3K episode (like the above line)
(Oh, and they need to be ones you think are not funny)

Anything with Jim Varney, Steve Guttenberg, and the cast of American Pie are pretty bad

Three words (well, actually, two words and a number):
Leonard Part 6.
End of discussion.

Caddyshack 2 and the Pest I'm sorry, but Caddyshack 2 never happened. D'ya hear me? Never. Happened. I'm surprised that no one's brought up Pauly Shore yet. I remember Son In Law pissing me off a lot. As for "hits", I'll vote for anything with Robert DeNiro in it. Analyze This and That, Meet the Parent-Fockers, Bullwinkle, etc. Memo to DeNiro's agent: Your client is not funny. Repeat: not funny. He is one of, if not the, best dramatic actors of his generation. Stop embarrassing him and the audience on his behalf. And for the love of God, say no to the comedies.

British comedian Dudley Moore made a string of terminally unfunny films that included "Like Father, Like Son," "Best Defense," "Arthur 2," etc.
