I agree. It was o.k., but nothing spectacular.

Why would their "exploitation" of a movie impact your experience with that movie? For me, it doesn't impact my experience with the movie, but I don't shop at Hot Topic either. I still like Nightmare Before Christmas even though its now some goth-cult thing But anyway, I saw Corpse Bride over the weekend and though it was a little too short, I enjoyed it. The music was good, but I prefer NBC's soundtrack more. The story was great and I loved the animation and sets (especially the Bride's world). I thought it was a cute little movie and I would see it again, but my personal preference is still going to be Nightmare

I assume that Corpse Bride was based upon a wet dream he once had. It's actually based on an old Jewish folktale. My $.02. Gonna see it today. One of the few movies that got me interested enough to venture to a theater. And MAN it's hard to keep this thread on topic.

And I hate Hot Topic. Corpse Bride was adorable, though. Loved the skeletons and the maggot/worm that looked and talked like Peter Lorre. I'd still give Nightmare the edge, but this one was great too.
