It's the British Bozo the Clown.... (sorry, bad teeth joke) And in Britain, his sidekick isn't Cookie the Clown, it's Biscuit the Clown. (sorry, obscure Chicago TV joke....) LOL

Steve-Dave, I hope you know I am calling you when I wake up screaming in the night after Pennywise haunts my dreams. *shudder*

I can't imagine another version, no one could possibly terrify me like Pennywise. What's so bad about this guy? "Nightmare the Clown/He's coming to your town."

AAAAAAAAAAA! AAAAAAAAAA! DAMN YOU SHEP! I had successfully forgotten what 'It' looked like... *shudders* still gives me the creeps. Uh, I posted that pic, DQ. But, Pennywise was fun. IT remains one of my favorite made for TV movies, I saw it only a couple months ago and still enjoy it.

Oh, didn't realize you posted the pic. I didn't read the last page, sorry Shep.
But still... hot damn is that creepy.
I'm thinking my favorite TV movie is 'Merlin' starring Sam Neil. But... I haven't really seen too many made-for-TV films.

I just checked out the TV version of "Moby Dick" (with Patrick Stewart as Ahab) from the library. I'm watching it right now. It also features "E.T.'s" Henry Thomas and Ted "Buffalo Bill" Levine.
The best part so far was Gregory Peck as Father Mapple.

So, as I mentioned, I'm sitting here in my room watching Patrick Stewart's "Moby Dick".
Mrs. Atari just walked in, looked at the TV, and said, "Oh. You're watching a movie about seamen who hunt a sperm whale they call Moby Dick?"
Yeah. She's twelve.
I'm just bummed that I couldn't think of an equally suggestive and provocative rejoinder before she left the room.

Is Born Innocent the one where she gets put in jail? I think I saw that one. I forgot about James at Fifteen. I know this is about tv movies, but it reminded me how much I loved the afterschool specials. I miss them. In Born Innocent Linda Blair gets sent to some kind of girl's reform school where she gets, ahem, attacked in the shower by other girls with a broomstick. The graphic nature of this scene caused a pretty big outcry and there started to be more censhorship on tv at that point.

That's a shame really, because quality-wise the stuff they did in the 70s blows away the stuff we're doing today (those crappy Hallmark & Lifetime films).

So, the shudder is that you'll have to talk to me, or on account of Pennywise and nightmares? Depends on your mood.

Indeed I did, but also actually did see the tv movie when I was kid and I remember everyone talking about this scene at school. Heh, you caught me...
