Since there's been much talk of IT in the TV movie thread, I felt we should move that talk here. What do you think of this made for TV movie? I'm a big fan of it. Pennywise is fun, and the story is pretty good, until the ending anyway. Thoughts?

I think the story was great when they were kids... but when they became adults it got lame. So I will say It's okay.

God, how I love this movie. I don't know why, I just do.
Thanks for bringing it up Mookie!

Ratso, OTR and Forrest said it.
Strong first half. Disappointing second.
Still definitely worth a look. One of the better King miniseries.

Some of Stephen King's stuff will survive as modern classics of 20th century literature.
I'm not kidding.

As others have said, the movie was good in part one, it went rapidly downhill in part two. As for his books, hit and miss. Different Seasons is one I rather enjoyed.

Steve won't be happy til he completely torments me about this. I am terrified by this movie, but love it. I didn't realize everyone felt the same way I do about the first half being awesome and the second half blowing. Pennywise does it for me. I tremble when I see him. He haunts my nightmares. As for King in general, I can't stand his books. I've tried reading several of them, and I'm sorry, but tone down the freaking character definition. Yeah, I like to know about them and all, but good god. If it weren't for the movies, I wouldn't have any clue how great he is. (Pet Semetary, IT, Stand by Me, Carrie, not such wonders as Maximum Overdrive)

I liked it but (As usual with his stuff) it didn't even come close to being as good as the book. That being said I thought Tim Curry did an excellent job as Pennywise.
