I'm glad that Beast is going to finally be in the movie. But I still won't be happy till Morph is in the Series. Morph was a creation for the 1992 animated series. The chances are very slim that he'll ever be in the movies.

But even still, with Mystique already in the movies, I highly doubt they'd add another shapeshifter anyway. They already dumped Nightcrawler to make way for Beast.

That kind of blows that they dumped Nightcrawler. They could've at least given him a cameo with all the money they no doubt spent on his costume, which I think looks phenomenal. But I suppose that if one of the aspects of the film is being concerned about looks...
... I dunno, do you think there would be room for Beast and Nightcrawler and Mystique in this?

I was so happy when I heard that Nightcrawler was going to be in the second movie. Kurt is a magnificent character, and is strong, but he is subtle, and I don't think subtle translates to the superhero genre these days. Seems like they decided because of the nature of the Beast (hehe), they don't need a second, laid-back Superhero on the team. AND another shape-shifter. Beast is a more recognized character, and Rebecca Romaine is, well, Rebecca Romaine. There is so much front-loaded into these comic movies, that trying to tell EVERYTHING, maybe they decided this was one way to do some trimming. This is all, of course, speculation on my part, but knowing production the way I do, that would seem to make the most sense.

There's no doubt that Alan Cumming was excelent as Nightcrawler, but Kelsey Grammer as Beast, how f***ing cool is that? I think they made a phenominal casting decision with him. But over crowding the film is a top concern. It's one of the reasons I don't hold X2 to as high a regard as some (in fact, I find the original far superior). Even with Nightcrawler in the movie, I didn't feel that they were using him the way they could have.

As much of a geek about comics as I am, I have to admit the cast list for this movie is pretty damn big. Overcrowding the film would suck. You'd just be getting constantly slammed with cameos. Although I thought 'Artie' was a nice touch in the last one. Now all I have to do is hold out that they will put Warlock (no, not ADAM Warlock) in a movie. Ha!

Glad the got Angel in. And I agree, Beast by Kelsey Grammar will be AWESOME. That's a killer pic.
I agree with the idea of not overloading the series character-wise-that's what sequels are for-but I'd still like to see Gambit.

I have been scouring the Internet about information on this movie and I found a few interesting facts. (MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!!!) Highlight the following to read the huge spoilers. I wouldn't worry about overcrowding because at least two and up to four of the X-Men will get killed in X3. One of which will definitely be Cyclops. The other will most likely be Professor X. I read the script review on a Web site so this should be fairly accurate unless they changed their minds during filming. That's probably the most interesting thing I read about the movie although this was already a rumor for a while so it didn't surprise me too much. It is still a possibility that the studio put out a false script however nothing in the trailer contradicts what I read.
