Please don't say Spiderman. In "Braveheart," there was great tension between the French princess and William. When he asks, "Why do you help me?" (something along those lines) and she gasps "Because of the way you are looking at me right now" there was such a feeling of passion on screen that it actually made my friends and I feel flushed! Another movie that comes to mind is "Unfaithful." I know the movie is about adultery, but c'mon, Diane Lane and that French guy are HOT and it makes for good chemistry. At one point Lane's character tries to leave and the French guy (I can't remember his name) grabs her and...well, watch the movie.

Two I think of first is the end of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and the first kiss in "It's A Wonderful Life". The most famous and best is Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr in ''From Here to Eternity''.

Oh right, the one from "It's A Wonderful Life." I haven't seen that in a few years, doesn't the kiss happen right after the phone call?

I always liked the one in "Notorious" between Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. It's famous because, at the time, characters weren't allowed to kiss for more than a couple seconds, so Hitchcock had them "almost kiss" for about a minute.

Catherine Deneuve (sp) and Susan Sarandon in The Hunger. Yes! I would go gay for Catherine Deneuve. Or Isabelle Huppert, for that matter. However, for some reason, I can't think of any more great screen kisses...my brain is fried. Oh, maybe Jeremy Irons and Juliette Binoche in Damage. That was pretty hot, even though she was his son's girlfriend.

Being the romantic that I am, I can only think of hideously bad kisses.

Gee, just one to choose? Yul Brynner and Jean Simmons in The Buccaneer, the story of Jean Lafitte.
Leonardo DeCaprio and Kate Winslet in the cargo bay, in the car where she says ,"Put your hands on me, Jack". That was pretty hot.
"In "A Room With a View", the kiss in the meadow was surprising and later in the film the male lead grabs the Helen Bonham-Carter and plants another one on her as they're leaving the tennis court.
Harvey Keitel "awakening" Holly Hunter's character in "The Piano"
Viggo Mortensen and Liv Tyler's elfen love in "Lord of the Rings"
Love reigns eternal!

Bruce Campbell and the S-Mart girl at the end of "Army of the Darkness." "Hail to the king, Baby!" Hillarious! Taking this thread one step forward, the best (and most tastefully presented) sex scene I've ever seen had to be Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland in Nic Roeg's "Don't Look Now." Wow!

Shep, I'm so glad you mentioned "Don't Look Now"!
An incredible scene in an incredible film! (If you ever get a chance to see this projected, do!)
And what about that kiss between Al Pacino and James Cahn in The Godfather II? That's a classic.

Terrible movie, but I seem to recall a kissing scene with Katie Holmes and some dude is Teaching Mrs. Tingle as being really hot and steamy.
