Ah well, to each his own. It's involving but not confussing. At least not for my brain (I mean hell, I've sat through several Nicholas Roeg films - no one can confusse me as much as that man) I've just really lost the stomach for movie or music reviews. All it amounts too is that someone gets jacked about a flick, wants to share the experience, and everyone else takes a dump on them. I'm just tired of the negativity. So to hell with it, Xerses had a great time, bully for her. I never saw the first movie but my brother and a friend who both saw the first one, said that this one was still confusing. Critics and reviewers give their opinion and people just take it. It dependes on who says it and even still it's just an opinion and you can't be against it or for it. I just take it from who is coming. Like I said before for example the opinion of a person who like underworld 2 but hates scrubs and says Arrested Development is the dumbest thing ever has no value to me.

Well thank you for being so polite. It's nice to be treated like that.
Because I don't laugh at the same shows you do, my thoughts have no value? I've got nothing against you personally; I'm simply tired of a lot of the negativity I read around here and was trying to nurture a positive vibe in this thread. Your stament sums up what I've been trying to explain. It was a nasty and hurtful thing to say to me. You should be ashamed.

I just find it funny that now you're the guy who doesn't want people feelings to get hurt and such. Most of my post was funny and about the last time we clashed or how else would I have brought Scrubs into the discussion. But if you didn't get it you didn't get it.

Ease off there, honey. We're all friends here. Back to the movie. I still want to see it, although I'll probably wait until it hits On Demand. I just can't be bothered to go to the theaters as much anymore.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I even have a male cat but I still see a cat or a cat name and I think - 'girl'
And I'm sorry to RafaelH if I accused you falsley because I didn't get the joke. But I'm old, I can hardly remember my own phone number, let alone every discussion I've had here.
As for finding it funny that I don't want feelings hurt, maybe I'm mellowing as I get older. I've just lost the taste for fightin' these days.
As they said in Hellcats - "Peace", "like, no war"

I have no problem with people wanting to critique a movie. This is a discussion board and I’d be foolish if I didn’t expect people to wrestle over different opinions.
Saying that, there are times when someone posts a celebratory thread and I think they should remain that way. Had this been a “what do you think of it” type of thread, then okay. But as with my post on Pride and Prejudice, here I was excited about a flick and wasn’t interested in a debate but posted it as an appreciation. The negative responses seemed inappropriate and only served to depress me.
To me it’s a matter of, make your own thread if you need to knock it.
With Underworld, I don’t claim it’s a work of art. I’m not saying it’s Casablanca But I had fun and that’s all I was looking for.
With Scrubs it’s just that I don’t like the characters. They piss me off too much and I can’t enjoy it. I had the same problem with Seinfeld. Both might very well be funny shows, but the jackasses make it impossible to watch.
And my Bro did take me to Panther. He loved it.
