I'm not going to argue whether or not Nemesis was as bad as you perceived it to be, as my perceptions might be a little hazy as well.
But what I WILL argue about is how everyone seems to see Nemesis as being a worse movie than, say, Insurrection. I mean....Insurrection just didn't do much of anything for me at all.
You really think that Nemesis was worse than that movie?

I've been surprised by the hating for ST: Nemesis in this and the "Which Trek movie should be riffed" threads. It was certainly not near the best movie, but I can't see how it was in the same league as the worst, especially V and Insurrection. As to this poll, though, Khan is the better nemesis for sure, no contest.

You know, as bad as Insurrection and Five are, I have a special place in my heart for Star Trek V. It was one of the first ones I saw (after Kahn). Yeah, it kinda sucks, but from what I hear, the original script was a great deal better than the film, but the film ran into budget problems.

OK the reason I hate Nemesis the most is that I and V did nothing. They were a waste of time and can just be ignored. However Nemesis was a lame movie AND it killed of Data, seperated the entire crew of the Enterprise, and attempts to begin a peace between Romulus and the Federation. Not only was Nemesis bad but it also made a huge impact on the Star Trek storyline.

maybe Data put his Shakra into Geordi before he died. You mean B4 (who, if the film hadn't flopped, would've probably been acting just like Data in the next ST:TNG movie) BTW, here's my favorite review of ST: Nemesis that sums up the movie pretty well: www.stardestroyer.net/Nemesis/Pictorial-1.html

His Shakra went into Geordi. As for it affecting the Star Trek storyline, I guess I can see that argument. But as Jonathan Frakes said, "Can Star Trek characters really die?"

That link to a comical summary looks funny as hell. Khan had presence. But I enjoyed Nemesis.

I don't think there's any Trek film that I actually disliked.
Although the Voyage Home seemed to drag once in a while...not in a "this is bad" kind of way, more like a "man, this is a movie for grownups" kinda way. I was seven at the time, I should watch that movie again.

Doesn't look like you like Khan very much based on that link. Shinzon, then?
