In my opinion it's House Of 1000 Corpses. That was one crazy sick ride! But I loved it! Great camera angles, great acting, awesome gore effects, and stylish cinematography! What do you think?

I would have to sayyyyyyyyy "Zu Warriors from the Magic Mountain" is pretty crazy. I know I've seen crazier than that though. As for House of 1000 corpses, it was decent, but the orginal Texas Chainsaw Massacre was creepier.

I loved "House of a 1000 Corpses" too, but I still say it's a toss-up between "The Forbidden Zone" and "Dr. Caligari".
Both are totally mental.

You should see Alejandro Jodorowsky's work( El Topo , The Holy Mountain). It's totally crazy and out there. It's awesome.

Rafael is right: El Topo is incredible. It was banned in this country for awhile. Now, it's a rights thing.
I had read about it for years (in Evergreen Review, among other places) and finally saw the director's cut in St. Louis in the 70s. WOW!!! I've got both El Topo and Holy Mountain on tape. (Thank you, Ebay!)
If you've never seen El Topo, you have to. It's the Holy Grail of cult films. Well worth the investment of your time.

It's funny...El Topo is one of those films I've avoided for years because I just can't believe it lives up to what I've heard about it...
Guess it's time to finally give it a chance.

I didn't like it the first time I saw it and now it's one of my favorite films of all time. So it depends. If you follow the hype, it probably won't live up to it since that normally what happens to me.

If you don't want to jump into El Topo, try to find Santa Sangre. It was VERY well received by the critics and public, and it's a mindbender!!! (With apologies to Wayne Fontana.)
Santa Sangre was released on VHS. You probably can still find it for cheap.

I have seen Santa Sangre. But I can't remember much about it.
Crazy though? Eraserhead still freaks me out. It's the only movie that gave me nightmares (I had sweat filled nightmares about lizard babies that cried non stop)

Brilliantly unnerving.

El Topo, Holy Mountain, and Santa Sangre are indeed three of the strangest movies I've ever seen. I really liked Santa Sangre...it's twisted.

Santa Sangre may be the best of Jodorowsky movies although El Topo is my favorite because of the adventure stuff. Still Santa Sangre is awesome. It also has what I consider the saddest song ever in the most haunting version with the old lady. I think Jodorowsky didn't do as much drugs by the time of Santa Sangre and that is why he could do one that kind of makes sense. I read a book of interview and you could see that when he was doing Fando Lis, El Topo and Holy Mountain, he was just out there. When he did el Topo he wasn't as hippie nuts.

I've got one that I think went direct to video. It's called "Detour" and it is an homage to "The Hills Have Eyes". Basically, a group of friends leaves a rave party and gets stranded in the desert as they are looking for some guy who grows pot. Anyway, they get stranded, and gory killings ensue. It's really pretty wild and some of the violence is done just for the sake of violence, but I have to say it's one of the craziest movies I've seen. I also agree that House of 1000 Corpses is very crazy also.

Back in college someone showed me a movie called "Greaser's Palace." Definitely a WTF? film. LOL
