The Wizard of Oz.
That's the only one I can tolerate.

Singin' in the Rain
(....even though it can be tough to not think of A Clockwork Orange while watching it)

I LOVE the King and I. "What is this etcetera?!"
Fiddler on the Roof (Original Broadway Version) has my favorite sound track, but I don't like the movie. Beggar: "One kopec? Last week you gave me two kopecs!" Tevye: "I had a bad week" Beggar: "So? If you had a bad week, why should I suffer?!"
A few other movies that I like that include songs are The Court Jester and The Inspector General, both with Danny Kaye. The vestle with the pestle has the pellet with the poison, or was that the challace from the palace? Or the flagon with the dragon?!

Velvet Goldmine. Or Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Those rule.

I like Fiddler too.
I think they did an exceptional job on The Producers. But I like Mel Brooks to begin with...

These will never be topped.

Help and A Hard Day's Night are great fun.
Have you ever seen Busby Berkley's "Dames"? That's one of my all-time favorites!! (Joan Blondell does The Girl At the Ironing Board! It's brilliant!)

I don't know which one I'd call the best....
But since no one else has mentioned it, I'm partial to "Little Shop Of Horrors" as far as musicals go.
Singin' In The Rain and Blues Brothers also get my vote for bein' pretty good.

I don't remember any songs. Not the Roger Corman one. They remade it quite a while ago into a musical starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin. Here it is on IMDB: us.imdb.com/title/tt0091419/
