Dang, I came all the way here without having a link to the news story....
You know, I said about four years ago that a Movie would kill the Simpsons. Although the writers are saying that they've worked a long, hard time trying to find a script that would work for the series so that people would be willing to pay to see The Simpsons on the big screen.
So maybe it'll work.
Thoughts?

Well, South Park did it and was very funny. We'll see what Matt comes up with. I think it'll be fun.

It's probably going to be jammed with celebrity cameos.
So I'm not seeing it.

I couldn't stand the South Park movie and with the Simpsons on its last legs, I'm not harboring any hope. But hey, if the word of mouth is great I'd go. Otherwise it would be a renter.

I hope to god that the movie signifies the end of the series. They've beaten a dead horse for too long.

much like Aqua Teen Hunger Force the Movie, the Simpsons movie will just be wayyyyyyy too much of something that's good in small doses.

I can't bring myself to care. It's pointless to say by this time, but I enjoyed a lot of the older episodes but have never been moved to watch more than about 2 of the new episodes in the last couple of years. If this regenerates the comedy and has good word of mouth, I'll go see it, but most likely I will not bother.

I'll go to see it. I love the Simpsons. Even if it means the end of the series, that's okay. I'm sure it will be a fun movie.

The Simpsons are a familiar bunch who've covered just about every topic. It would be interesting to see what the writers expand on. I'd love to see Marge with a new hairstyle or Barney clean up his act.

I've heard that Albert Brooks is going to be in the movie. If that's true I wonder if he's going to reprise his role as Hank Scorpio.

Especially all those cameo celebrities that they're bound to have pop up! Now if only the creators would employ artists here in the States.....or has that changed too?
