Boy it's been years. The lady in the snow was great and I remember a guy being painted with writing, that was good. The one that had the spirit in the water, the guy see's this thing in his tea and the spirits all POed. An example of Japanese horror, building up something eerie but not explaining anything. I still don't know why that little head was so angry. LOL

I recall the haunting "Lady of the Snow" story was ripped off for the final segment of the unfortunate "Tales from the Darkside" movie.

Just say "Mimi-nashi no Hoichi" (Hoichi the Earless) to my wife and she jumps.
I love that movie too. It's hard to pick a favorite, but I'd probably have to go with "Hoichi" for the sequence of the Heike women jumping into the sea. "Haunting" in many senses of the word.
