It was barely a good movie in the 80's, the sequels were crap... why the Hell would they want to remake this?

The original was a "perfect" dumb movie. They'll never re-create those simple times from the 80s.

Remakes suck.
But if it gives the criminally underrated Curtis Armstrong a job, it's a good thing by me.

I cant imagine how this could be greenlighted, it couldnt have made much money the first time, and yet it needed remade?
maybe its time to turn Alf into a feature length film
