That's it, Maxwell. I remember it because I thought it would be a nice period piece, maybe a love story and it turned out to be really weird! Still, I like Downy Jr., that gun-in-the-mouth lovin' man...

Thanks Shep. They also have Pray For The Wildcats been trying to remember name of it too. A local station years ago showed 70's movies and TV shows. Imagine Brady dad capt. Kirk and Andy Griffith as bikers. I remember seeing Andy Griffith in a made for TV movie waaay back. There was a scene where he punches holes in a vehicle's radiatior and says- "Its gonna be a long walk home!" or similar. Could that be Pray for the Wildcats?

Okay here's a movie that comes to my mind sometimes.. I saw it in my youth on TV, and I assume the movie was made in the 80s from what I can recall.
It took place in the future. The main character is this man who has a robotic female.. companion. She's an android, but he is genuinely in love with her. And something happens to her, I don't remember what, to where she malfunctions and I think she needs a certain part. And since it's an out of date model, the main character has to go on a quest through the futuristic trashy city to find the part he needs, because he doesn't want to lose his companion.
I don't remember if it was a particularly good movie or not, but I want to see it again.
Any ideas?

According to IMDb, it had Laurence Fishburn and Melanie Griffith in it, although not in starring roles.

Oh wow. I had no idea it was mentioned on MST3k. Thanks a lot. No problem! The instance I'm thinking of is when the 'bots are in their little jammies, saying their prayers for all the robots they can think of. "God bless Data, and his really cool robot daughter Lal... and God bless RoboCop, even though he got kind of a raw deal, although it's really none of my business... Oh, and God bless Cherry 2000!" etc.

I like the part where one of the bots asks for blessings for ED-209, even though they don't know why they'd make a robot who couldn't walk down stairs.

When the Over the Top RiffTrax was announced, I got apprehensive 'cause I have a bad memory of a graphic arm wrestling scene in some movie I saw as a kid. In the scene a guy gets his arm snapped in half while arm wrestling. I know I saw Over the Top a couple times as a kid, but I couldn't remember much of it and I was afraid it would be the movie with the stomach-turnin', arm-snappin' action scene. But it wasn't in there; thank goodness.
Anybody know what movie I should make sure to avoid so I don't have to see any icky broken arms in arm wrestling scenes?

You know, maybe you should play it safe and just avoid arm-wrestling movies altogether. I really doubt you'd be missing anything!

I remember seeing that scene, what looked like the "place" where the actual arm-wrestling championship contests were held. They had that special table w/ seats set-up. But I don't remember it from any movie. It was an actual clip. Maybe ABCs Wide World of Sports? I have a new one. Someone asked about The Dirty Dozen in another thread. There was a USA Up All Night type movie that used a lot of the same plot (convicts used, can gain their freedom, rhyming check-list,etc) but the best part was... the convicts were all "Lucy Bra-less" type bad-girls, with something to prove! The Jim Brown counter-part role was especially...memorable. Possible CT material. But then we guys would have to agree to some beek-cake dross...

I used to have it on VHS a long time ago.

Thanks McCallum. Seeing TVs Andy Taylor do such a nasty act was responsible for warping my fragile young mind!
