Let's just say a certain movie just got bumped to the top of my Netflix queue. Way to go, Barry & Legend! A great idea. I can't wait for Titanic. ...or Star Wars. Oh, good heavens. If they did the prequels, I'd be first in line.

So it's just Mike riffing along, then? While I'm glad that genre is being continued in some form, I can't help wonder if some the innate chemistry would have to be lost. I remember the KTMA episode where Joel is alone in the theater. It wasn't a feel of "Friends laughing together over some bad movie" but rather "Some poor smuck is talking to himself during a movie". Sure some of the riffing was still funny, but and important dynamic had changed.
I'd still be willing to give this a shot. But... I don't have an ipod. The site says that other MP3 players will work. Is it possible to DL this to a PC, then have the commentary come over the speakers while the movie plays?

I bought it...I'll let you know what I think. I think...IT'S GREAT!! Just finished watching it with my teenage son...we laughed our shirts off! The closing credit riffs are hilarious! ...and yes, we watched it on TV, and played the Rifftrax on the computer, worked perfectly, and never became 'out of sync'. Can't wait for the next one...

It is great isn't it - so much more in the riff style than his commentaries. I was at a movie board I visit from time to time, and they were discussing the new DVD release for "Road House", I posted a link to the rifftrax. I hope some of them get into it - I'd love for this to be a great finacial success. Everyone, spread the word!

Is it possible to DL this to a PC, then have the commentary come over the speakers while the movie plays? Of course. It's an mp3 file. If you have an application that plays mp3s, you can play it on your computer.

Just got done watching Road House, even bought the DVD just for it!
Absolutely hilarious! The morbid riffing over the end credits was amazing, and I loved the disembodied voice warning Mike about the nude scenes. Mike: "But I'm 41!"
Can't wait for The Fifth Element!

Was Mike lying about his age?

He looks a little wrinkly for being 41, no offense to Mike.

I watched it Monday night. I could only find a VHS copy at the local Blockbuster Video rental place. Hey, it worked fine! I sync-ed it up and it never got out of sync the whole way through! I got the feeling Mike has been itching to do this for some time and finally got the chance. It was LOL funny! I did have a small problem due to the fact I had the TV playing and I was using my headset on the MP3 player. My wife came out of her work room because she was hearing me laugh during the fight scenes and some of the more violent stuff in the movie and wanted to see what was so funny. I explained and she just rolled her eyes.
Again, I wonder if Mike can't persuade Kevin, Bill or Mary Jo to get in on the fun. I'd gladly pay $10 a download for that! All I got to say is I hope there will be more!
