Hulk: The Final Round and Daredevil Going back and watching my old favorites.... and like Crossroads both of these hold up well. Plus I got a new laugh when Ben in DD takes a dramatic pause, and Mike says.... "I'm Batman" -- because now he is. Who knew the RT guys were psychics?

Cyborg Cop 2 50/50 mix of good and bad. I didn't jot down any notes so I can't specifically mention what worked for me and what didn't. Ha Ha.
But you know, it's kind of relaxing not having a website any more. Oh, I might review this for the blog some day, but I don't feel pressure to. For now I'm not a riff counter, or a fact checker or a note taker or a show reviewer or a forum moderator... I'm just a fan kicking back and enjoying a laugh.

So far I've watched ROTOR 1 and 1/2 times and I love it. I've been waiting for them to do this movie for years. What a turd. This is my favorite kind of movie to watch riffed. 80s, cheesy, kinda sleazy, and totally inept. Sadly they seem to have riffed a cut version. The longer one I am familiar with has even more lampoon fodder.

I just purchased that during their 15% off sale this weekend, haven't burned it yet. Sword and the Sorcerer is in my player right now - just finished with....
Santa Claus Conquers The Martians: Live The problem with being the 3rd group to riff on a film is that most of the good jokes have been used already. Still, they got a few fresh laughs: Noticing Voldars interest in the landing was cute, and I liked the Scully and Mulder quip. The short was weird, and I got a handful of chuckles out of the riffing on that. But all told I was sitting silent through most of it. Probably my least favorite of the live shows.

I purchased the Batman serial during the sale this weekend then I realized I wasn't sure how to burn it to dvd. Usually the ones I buy are iso and easy to burn. Does anyone know how to burn these to dvd? For now I have them on a flash drive that I plan on watching through my blu ray player.

I wasn't very impressed with Sword and the Sorcerer, but ROTOR was a gas (thank God, I'd hate to feel like I wasted 30 bucks on these). As with the "Room" and the "Guy From Harlem", the ridiculous movie does a lot of the heavy lifting.
I liked it, though I felt they missed a few (The Hillbilly mechanic looks like Dr. Phil. Captain Coldiron spells his names with a "y" so it looks like Coldy Ron, surprised they didn't run with that. And I was also surprised they gave a pass to the conversation between Coldy Ron and Muscle Woman, when she tells him that they can't stop ROTOR, and then a few minutes later asks... "Do you think we can stop him?")
Bummed to hear they cut out scenes too.

Manos-Live
First viewing,
That was hilarious! It was weird at first, not hearing the riffs I'm used to, but the guys did a great job with the new riffs. Was laughing out loud several times. The shorts were a treat as well. The commercial about the prune juice was a riot, wow. That was a fun ride.

Magic Christmas Tree
The Christmas commercials and cartoon were a hoot but oh man, what a weird Christmas movie. It featured a chubby, not too bright kid, some bad acting, a creepy Santa and a magic talking tree with an effeminate and sarcastic voice. I was a bit disturbed by it all but the riffing was great.

Watched Wonder Women a couple of nights ago. Staring that Hellcat, Ross "Sidehackin'" Hagen. Filmed primarily in the Philippines it brought back lots of memories of when I was in the U.S. Navy. High speed Jeepney chase through the streets and various Manila market places. Too funny ! One of the better Rifftrax productions. Cannot believe that it took 20+ year to feature Ross Hagen in all of his glory..

I grabbed a bunch during the holiday sales. The best of the bunch?
Hawk the Slayer with Jack Palance - as over the top as he's ever been. There's some real clever work on this one.
Fun in Balloon Land was simply insane, I thought a balloon parade might kill me, but it was 54 minutes of hilarity. One of the maddest most enjoyable things they have done.

I just watched a few. I saw Total Riff Off-Demon Bat. This is the first one that I have seen in this NatGeo series. I thought it was very funny. I am kind of surprised that NG allowed them to do it. I know I will eventually get the rest of them.
Attack of the Puppet People was like an older episode of MST. They did well with this one.
Dr. Who and the Daleks was one I had great anticipation for, I thought it was going to be great but it fell a bit flat for me.
And finally I went back and rewatched SF Sketchfest. I laughed a lot more this time than I did the first time through. The cooking terms short was hilarious. I felt the cyliders short was just ok.

Wonder Women
This movie was one wild ride. It had plenty of sexy dames, some cool chase scenes, groovy music and our old friend Ross Hagen. One of the better rifftrax I've seen in awhile. The guys had a good time with this one and so did I.

Kingdom of the Spiders
Over on Hulu. William Shatner and spiders taking over the Nevada country side in the 1970's. Hilarious film that I haven't seen since the 80's. Riffing was solid and the Shat was the Shat. Not KIROK though. Free is a good price over on Hulu even with the silly commercials.
