Wouldnt that open up a chance for someone to steel your comments?
I'm not sure if that would be a good idea.

No, after the deadline has passed I mean. I don't *think* that there would be any way for that to hurt, especially after the prizes are given and such. I could be wrong, though.

As someone on the Rifftrax forum pointed out, it's like doing homework! It is kind of tough. 22 riffs for a 4 and a half minute clip. I am wondering if this contest is also some kind of talent search to form a writing team for Rifftrax. If they are going to crank out one a week and Mike is doing all the writing he could burn out fast. It looked to me that what was provided in the text file in the package was just an example of how to write down your riffs. Not where to make your riff or how many to make. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Besides, there are missed opportunities if you have to follow that script to make a riff.

That was the big question in my mind. When someone else suggested it was doing these 22 riffs exactly, I took that as the answer.

Yeah, that's what the admin over at the RiffTrax board said too. It's a fill-in-the-blanks kind of thing.

I'll probably end up doing it my own way (still imagining Mike saying it ,of course) just 'cuz I'm different. And if they don't like someone who can think for himself and make a decision about what is funny, then that's just too bad! ... For me.

I was annoyed at first, but now I kind of like being limited to only certain cues. It's more of a challenge.
I'll probably sit on this one for a week or so, before sending it in.

OK good. I would have picked some other choices, but I'd rather know exactly what to do in this case.

Dont be in any rush to send it in. I guarantee that if you do it now and look at it again in a week, you will want to change somthing.

From: rifftrax.com/smf/index.php?topic=382.msg8064#msg8064Yeah, I saw this over there yesterday. But I hate having my creativity limited so much, that I'd rather fail at the contest miserably and be funny than be forced to "stay within the lines" and lack hummor. It's kinda like, which is better? I say five lines and you laugh hard, of I say 20 and you barley chuckle a couple times? I'm not questioning weather good riffs can't be put in the pre-determined places. Just what if there is something funnier that isn't in the outlined script?

So if you won, you find out at the same time as the rest of humanity? It's like that slogan contest I placed in back in elementary school....where I didn't know about it until my Mom forced me to go to the PTA meeting that night and they announced it in front of everyone. Kind of sucks.
