I haven't seen (heard?) any Rifftrax, so can someone explain who this Disembaudio character is exactly?

Disembaudio is a voice that comes in every once in a while, reading a line of dialogue from the movie, to ensure you are properly synched-up to the film.
He also interacts with Mike every once in a while.
It's basically some guy who's voice has been run through a processor. He's a lot like Magic Voice from the MST days. Except he sounds like Bob the Tomato from the Veggie Tales videos.

And he's not funny.

I dunno. I kinda like him. You "kinda" like him? I don't know...I understand his purpose for syncing lines. But anything beyond that just seems like a stretch. Best leave the funny stuff to the riffers.

I may be alone here, but I like disembaudio and don't mind him cutting the fool every once in a while with Mike Bill or Kevin. The more riffers the better.

I enjoy Disembaudio, and I'm not being charitable.

For some reason that made me laugh a lot. You're still grounded though.

Ok, a little mindbleach and I can again hear Disembodio without seeing Darkflounder's pic! Go go mindbleach!
Anyways, I have to say that I like Disembodio. I think that he (it?) can be used to be a companion riffer when Mike doesn't have a guest. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Mike's work. But when he's with someone, I like it more. There's a chemistry going. A couple of guys taking back and forth about what they are watching. Mike alone and he's just some schmuck talking to himself. Funny, yes, but missing something.
The role Disembodio plays in actually syncing stuff up seems pretty hit and miss. I know I heard a few times in "Roadhouse", for example, but I don't remember hearing him at all in "Halloween". But I could be wrong about that, I had been drinking a bit a wine when I watched that one.

The longer the movie the more sync lines. It is a necessary evil. The only DisembAudio I didn't like was in 5th Element. All the others have been fine with me. His lone Riff in Cocktail and Crossroads more than made up for his stuff in Boron.

I liked him in The Fifth Element, actually. Since he didn't have Kevin or Bill with him, it filled the commentary out so it wasn't "just some schmuck talking to himself". One of the best things about MST3K was how the guys would tag team riffs and laugh at each other's jokes. A guy laughing at his own jokes just seems a little weird.
My question is who is he really? Whose voice is going through the processor there? Or would that destroy the mystique that is Disembaudio?

I think that Disembodio is a robot that Mike built. He probably was feeling a little overshadowed by the fact that Joel made all the robots on the SOL, and wanted to prove that he could make one as well.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

When I listen to one of the Mike solo tracks (all of which I have liked better than any of the guest riffer tracks) I like to think of it as Mike telling me a joke like I am sitting there watching it with him. I am not watching a show or anything about a person watching the film and making jokes. As far as who voices DisembAudio my bets are on Conor. For a brief period of time Conor's name was attached to the Fifth Element Rifftrax release. It said the Rifftrax was by Mike Nelson and Conor L(can't remember his last name right now).
