I got this off the Official RiffTrax forum...and I like it...I like it allot.
Maybe an admin on this board can make it a sticky?
Now you know why or why not RiffTrax choses the movies they chose...
Anyway...paruse this at your own leisure:

If you are new to the board, you no doubt have many a question. We will attempt to pre-emptively answer some of the more "Frequently Asked" of these "Questions" here, in our coincidentally titled FAQ:
Q: Mike and Kevin have riffed. Mike and Bill have riffed. Will all three ever riff together?
A: Yes, one of these days, when scheduling permits. It'll be awesome.
Q: Will _______ also be a guest riffer?
A: So far, there have been a grand total of 0 people added to the "These people will never, ever guest riff" list. So anything is possible. But if it hasn't been announced, then we probably don't know for certain when or if it's going to happen.
Q: When will you do a RiffTrax of __________?
A: There is no master list of planned RiffTrax spanning out into the next few years. Much like potential guest riffers, if it hasn't been announced, we probably haven't decided on it it yet.
Q: Well then when does the next new RiffTrax come out?
A: We seem to be on a fairly regular schedule of a new RiffTrax coming out around every week and a half to two weeks.
Q: Is RiffTrax MST3K 2.0?
A: No. RiffTrax is RiffTrax.
Q: Do you actually pay attention to the movie suggestions we make?
A: Of course. But please note the massive volume of requests and ideas when wondering why your specific one has not been undertaken yet.
Q: What is the criteria for picking the movies for RiffTrax?
A: Whether or not a funny RiffTrax can be created for the movie.
Q: But is it bad movies, or movies that you hate, or...
A: Please see the above answer.
Q: Why did you riff _________, it's a great movie.
A: Please see the answer two questions above while keeping in mind the extremely subjective nature of your opinion about the quality of the movie in question.
Q: That's really the only criteria?
A: Also important is the availability of the movie. If a movie is out of print, not available on DVD or available only as an expensive import, that movie will likely not be chosen. However, most movies are readily available on amazon.com and Netflix if they are not at your local rental store.
Q: My downloads didn't work, my downloads have expired, my download email never came, I somehow erased every single thing on my hard drive and my top priority is recovering my RiffTrax of Crossroads, please help, etc.
A: Email support AT rifftrax.com and we'll get back to you, usually no later than the next business day.
Q: How do I burn my RiffTrax onto a CD?
A: www.rifftrax.com/smf/index.php?topic=682.0
Q: How do I make my own RiffTrax DVD?
A: www.rifftrax.com/smf/index.php?topic=413.0
Q: Why can't you just release the movies with RiffTrax already in the movie?
A: This is not permitted because of copyright laws. We cannot sell copies of someone else's movie.
Q: This "synching the movie to the MP3" things sounds way too difficult.
A: It's far easier than you'd ever imagine. Try it, you'll like it
Q: Why not just release a RiffTrax player to keep them in synch?
A: Our own RiffTrax DVD player would cost countless amounts of time and money to create. If you like watching DVDs on your computer, we recommend you download Sharecrow, since it is created to play commentaries in synch with DVDs: www.sharecrow.com/Rifftrax.htm
