Its a Stooges Cameo appearance movie. Also note that it comes with "several", rare Shorts.

Don't forget to mention that it will be autographed by Mr. Nelson himself. I'm there!

I wonder if they are testing the waters to see if there is a big enough market for them to start offering more complete DVD/rifftrax. If so, I hope this wasn't a bag first choice. Some people (me) don't really like the Three Stooges, and might be put off simply because of the film.
I'm on the fence on this one.

Does Mike like the Three Stooges?

Here's what I honestly think about this release:
Deep down this is a Legends Films colorization release with Mike Nelson commentary. But now that they have the RiffTrax fan base, I think they are pushing it as a RiffTrax release to increase sales.
It has all the 'markings' of a legends release: older B&W movie converted to color, the movie is in Public Domain...and the RiffTrax people even said they were busy last week working on Legends stuff.
So yeah, I don't know what to make of it? I purchased a copy just to see what its all about and to see if Mikes riffing is like the old Legends commentary riffing or the newer, livelier RiffTrax style of riffing.
I also want to get all the other Legends DVD's with Mikes Commentary too. Someday...

I also want to get all the other Legends DVD's with Mikes Commentary too. Someday... I kinda like Carnival of Souls and House on Haunted Hill, so the riffing on those didn't work. The rest of them are fantastic though.

When I saw this I immediately thought it was a Legends release. Maybe it's just a bone to throw to the hungry fan base. Something they had on the back burner with some questions about it's viability as a item that anybody would want to buy. I'll have to reserve judgement until it arrives in the mail. I don't have a lot of hopes for it though. I bought it 'cause Mike wanted me too. I am such a fanboy slave!

It is a Legend release, Rifftrax = Legend Films Label.

My copy arrived today and I am sad to say that I had trouble getting through the first thirty minutes. The riffing is very low key and not enough Stooges to be the Stooges. I decided to save it for another day to see if I feel differently about it next time around.

I got mine today too, and it's not very engaging.
I did get some good advice, though: there's no point in worrying about the mule.

...and don't order the roast turkey!
I watched it last night. Very Low Key. I did watch it all the way through which is more than I can say for Firewall or Cocktail!

You guys aren't making want to buy this. But I don't want there to be holes in my collection... what to do, what to do?

Ya, well. It's nice that you got an autographed copy at least, no? I dunno, I probably wouldn't even watch it once. "Letsee, I have a couple of free hours.... watch a MST3K or true Rifftrax, or a 3 Stooges movie with Mike commentary?" I know what would win.
