Neil Patrick Harris?!?!
Wow! What other big stars (of the VH1 variety) can they get?

Neil Patrick Harris? Really? Or is this a belated April Fool's joke?
Gosh, but I loved Gene Wilder in that movie. Loved loved loved him.

Well...he was a fan of MST. I remember him saying so in one of the specials.

Well...he was a fan of MST. I remember him saying so in one of the specials. Exactly! Mike knew he was a fan, the show was This is MST3K back in the Comedy Channel days. Mike asked NPH and he said Yes! And then NPH chose 'Willy Wonka' as the film he wanted to riff on.

What!! Why not the crappy remake!?!? I agree! I actually have some affection for the seventies version. Oh well ...I'm looking forward to hear Neil's riffing. I admit I didn't like the last guest riffer. Maybe because I never heard of him before. But I'm definitely familiar with Doogie Howser M.D.

I don't know about this one. I am not a fan of Neil Patrick Harris at all and love the film. As The Dude said why this one and not the crappy Johnny Depp one.

I think Neil Patrick is hilarious. He was great in "Harold & Kumar...", and "Undercover Brother". I haven't seen his sitcom, but I've heard good things.
I have high hopes for this. I imagine it'll be like listening to a couple of guys having fun, instead of the highly scripted takes Mike & Kevin do. And if Neil is the one who picked the film, all the better.

This is the sort of news that gets me excited about this project again. Great stuff, and long may guests of this calibre continue.
Mr. Atari, I definitely recommend "How I Met Your Mother". One of the funniest sitcoms on TV today.

I think this sounds like fun. Neil Patrick Harris is one of the few child stars that has been able to keep a fairly sustained career, mostly by not taking himself too seriously.
I like the Gene Wilder version of Willy Wonka too, but Mike and the guys can riff any movie and be funny. That doesn't mean I'll like the unRiffed movie any less.

They've established long ago that they weren't just riffing on bad movies. LOTR was a fav for Mike and Kev and they still made it funny. So I got no prob with this. and I agree with Mr. Atari, some new blood can be a good thing (as with Troll 2), I'm looking forward to Neil's work, I've always liked the guy too.

I can't believe people are dissing Burton's "Wonka" remake. I thought he did a great job with it, all things considered.
I'm quite startled by ol' Doogie Howser's appearance. I think it's great, though. Looking forward to it.

At least the new one actually went along in some similance to the book. I'll be looking foward to this

Yeah, of course, I still prefer Wilder's original interpretation, but I thought the new one was delightful in its own right.
