YES! YES! GOD DAMN IT YES!
I love this movie, but I have a gut feeling Mike's going to do an excelent job with it. Too bad he won't have Kevin and Bill by his side.

I'm actually ready for another Mike solo effort. This should be a good one.

The Governators! Ha! Ha! This should be a classic! (I hope) Arnold and Jessie make this sooooo easy. Bring it on!
( I bet this is the one they live riff on this weekend!)

I'm excited about this one though I've seen some riffs he's done recently that I thought weren't that good. (Battlefield Earth &Wickerman) I hope he gets back in his groove.

I suppose new years (Battlefield Earth) and Feb (Wicker Man) counts as recent, but many would disagree with you on how good they were, especially Battlefield Earth.

Yup, B.E. wound up on most peoples lists in the "Top 10" thread. But I must say I do agree with 'dorf, it wasn't terrible by any means, but for some reason I wasn't laughing as much as everyone else obviously did.

They missed my pick for an Arnie movie again! Still, there should be some good stuff here. I do like the movie, so that might help if the riffing is slow. I am, however, ready for another Mike-solo Rifftrax.
Looking forward to it, as usual.

I didn't wind up laughing allot at BE 'till the half way point. It took me a bit longer than that. One factor, and I hate to admit this, was the movie. I normally like to say -to heck with the movie, lets concentrate on the laughs- but there are have been exceptions where the flick simply defeated me (Strange Creatures on MST is an example there) and Battlefield Earth made me writhe in painas I watched. I mean of all the bad movies they have done, that one was excruciating. Even more so than Crossroads or Troll2, I had such a hard time focusing on the humor.

I've personally sat through Battlefield Earth about 5 times since it's release. I don't know why. Just to say I could, I suppose. I'm considering actually buying it just because there's a RiffTrax, now. Same with Island of Dr. M, another bad movie I've sat through more times than I probably should have (dude, Brando, Kilmer, and Thewlis, for a movie this lame, that's pretty damn cool right there).
I just downloaded Predator. I think I'm going to watch it later tonight.

Well, that's done. I enjoyed it more than T3, though the long patches of jungle walking made for some weak riffing. Mike could have used somebody to bounce off of during these scenes.
Other than that, good and solid. The final battle is beautiful, especially Mike's Schwarzenegger debate comments. And the riffs on the end credit poses is the funniest thing on the entire Trax. It's a nice RiffTrax with an awsome movie and a nice leasurly riffing. Good to kick your feet up and relax to.
It's odd, though. I'm an Arnie fan, and Mike keeps taking on my favorites. T3 and Predator are both in my top 5 (4 and 3 respectivly), and I've seen them all. If he keeps this up, next will be True Lies and after that the Running Man. Even though a Running Man RiffTrax would be gold, IMO, I think Mike needs to get his hands on Raw Deal. I'll loan him my copy if it helps.

I agree with torgo, in that some of the jungle scenes made it hard for Mike to come up with some fresh riffs. But over-all, I thought it was pretty good. My take and free preview now posted: www.rifftraxfan.com/reviews2007.html#33

I finally got my act together and watched the movie last night. I have to say that I prefer it when Mike is riffing with someone else. I even was hoping from more from Disembodio. Mike did a good job but I craved more. I wanted another's perspective and humor as well as Mikes. Also I think Mike is just funnier when he has someone to bounce things off on and get through non-riffable segments of the movie (Which Predator has in abundance) How many times can you come up with fresh material for a movie that is 70 percent stalking through the jungle?
