Very cool. Should be fun to hear Bridget riffing.

This should be fun. Greys is one of my wifes favorite shows too.

With all due respect to Gammars wife and other fans of the show.... but Lord Gawd do I hate it, loathe it (My ex watched it) and will revel in its slaying, er, riffing.

All I know is, I love Bridget and am glad she's doing one, and Katherine Heigl is "teh hotness," as they say.

My wife and I caught the pilot to the old 80s "St. Elsewhere" show on the American Family Life (LOL) Channel Sunday and were somewhat appalled by how much "Grey's" ripped off.
(Not that "St. Elsewhere" was an entirely original concept either.)

Well here is the blurb from rifftrax.com
This is the hugely successful, boldly innovative show that dares to tell its story in the unlikeliest setting imaginable – a hospital! But where Grey's Anatomy really ploughs new ground is in its use of attractive young lead actors, and the moody, radio friendly hits of some of today's top artists! And unlike St. Elsewhere, Chicago Hope, ER, The Doctors, Dr. Kildare, General Hospital, Ben Casey, Scrubs, Marcus Welby, MD, Doogie Howser, MD, M*A*S*H, House, LA Doctors, Nip/Tuck, Trapper John, MD, Quincy, M.E., Strong Medicine, After MASH and Doc, this one is on Thursdays at 9:00PM on ABC.
Navigating the complex emotional core of Grey's Anatomy would be impossible without the help of Bridget Nelson, a writer, performer and MST3K alum, who joins Mike for back to back episodes. Dr.'s orders – take two shows for maximum results!*
*RiffTrax assumes no responsibility for pain and emotional distress caused by that last line.

Never watched an episode, and I really don't want too. The only hospital drama I ever kind of liked (key words being kind of) was House, and that's only because the title character is fun to watch. Grey's is my mother's favorite television show, though (ironicly replacing another hospital program, ER. She watches them all).
I'll probably NetFlix this eventually, but it's not on the top of my list.

I'm not really into tv shows but I liked what they did with "Lost." I'll give it a shot. Of course I'm giving everything Mike does a shot.

For those of you who haven't seen the show, I'll tell you my wife and I just watched the first season on DVD. I generally hate popular TV, but my mom loaned it to us, so we decided to give it a chance.
A few thoughts: It's surprisingly watchable. The characters are likable. It's fairly well-acted for a "soap opera." It's also often very funny.
Also, like a lot of shows on TV these days, they pump up the drama with a (largely) alt rock soundtrack.
Overall I'd say "Grey's" is nothing terribly special, but there are worse ways to spend an hour.
A lot of people I work with watch this series. They tell me Seasons 1 & 2 are good, but Season 3 has been a bit of a letdown.
