Check out the Rifftrax On Demand and you can download a free sample of the Film Crew riffing the first three minutes of Signal 30.
Pretty funny! Any chance of them doing the rest of the film?

I am kind of surprised they did it all. Yeah they are super cheesy but the are still real dead bodies. A guy who was completely burned up is not really Riff fodder.... Don;t get me wrong. If they did I would watch it but people in the past have complained about Mike's language before so I can't imagine a full riff of that happening.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's "Signal 30"?

It appears to be one of those "don't drive if you are young because you will die" films! The clip from Rifftrax cuts off just as a dead cow is shown so maybe they decided that's as far as they go with corpses. Still pretty funny riffing. It's like a Rifftrax short in the old MST3K style.

I like the idea. I'm probably going to purchase it soon and review it on my site.

I like the idea. I'm probably going to purchase it soon and review it on my site. It's free for the demo of Signal 30, the link was in a mail-out (I can't find it on the site) and there are demos of, I think, every Rifftrax available. Looks like it's only the public domain stuff that's available just now.

I think it's a way of getting people to try out how the ROD service works.

Hmm, I was excited about having another chance to see a cheesy old short, but now I'm not so certain. Sure, dark riffs are one thing (like on Last Clear Chance), but actually showing that kind of stuff seems a bit much.

I just found out from Torgo'sPizza on the RiffTrax forum, that they are not planning on finishing Signal 30.
He said it was a test of the On Demand stuff to see how it worked out.

I'm not a fan of the DivX thing, but I enjoyed this shortened short. Has anyone else's copy ceased to function, though? When I tried to watch mine again yesterday, it said that it expired or something. I know it was free, but I'd kind of like to keep it. Man, I hate DRM. The riffing was a little sparse in places, but I adored Kevin's "roadside memorials to distract the living" line. Brilliant.

Yeah it won't let me play it either. Need to copy it to DVD if I can get it back!

Well that sucks. Yeah I want to watch it again in the future sometime. Wish I had the means to have made a copy grr! I need to just get filthy rich and have the means to buy only the best toys.

I was hoping someone would work their hacking magic and put it up on YouTube. No luck though, it seems.
