Just in time for the holidays, RiffTrax presents our take on A Visit to Santa, a Christmas short of unknown origin that most probably was the result of Santa's short-lived collaboration with the producing team of Screwtape and Wormwood. Rather than being a right jolly old elf, Santa here is depicted as the Dark Prince of a vast slave empire made up entirely of children under 10 - it's Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom with less dignified clothing. Or put another way it's Manos: The Hands of Fate without the elephantiasis! Mike, Kevin and Bill fall on it like a Christmas goose in a brand new downloadable video! shop.rifftrax.com/ondemand/visit-santashop.rifftrax.com/ondemand/visit-santa

For anyone who is unsure how the DivX process works...
- Install the DivX player on your computer and create a DivX account the first time you launch the player (its free) - Purchase the short and download the .tix file from RiffTrax - Double click the .tix file and you will see the SantaRiff DivX file downloading. It downloads to the My Video's folder in My Documents. - You can play it while its downloading or wait till it completes. - If you have a DVD player that supports DivX you can burn the DivX file to a CD or DVD with Nero as a "Data Disc". Otherwise, watch the SantaRiff on your computer with the DivX player.

ROFL at Bill in that picture! I’ll get this as soon as I get home. I’m also very interested as to how the Download on Demand thing is going to work out for rifftrax in the future.

How did you hear about this? And how long is the short? They announced it on the site, Gammer has a RSS feed into his brain. Apparently about 13 minutes?

This is a very bad short. I can't wait to see their take on it.

Bill joked in his Q+A that Santa's played by a young John Wayne Gacey. After having watched it I don't know if he was kidding. there's certainly evil afoot!
Oh, and very funny. Looks like there's going to be more of these shorts via On Demand and I have to say that I'm chuffed to bits with that.

I'm closer n' closer to diving into Rifftrax , but :
This is something new , right ? It downloads all synched & fully playable ( on a Mac too ? ) ( I just got the email from Rifftrax for it... a totally blank page !! .. which sure boosts my confidence )
and ! , where does one find instructions for regular ol' Rifftrax , and The Stars Wars Holiday if that's different ? I have the special , the one that starts w/ the fan-scroll , just haven't looked into what I do with it yet !

AWESOME! I actually selected this one in last year dream season MJ Mythical 13th Season it's on episode 1309. So this cool to see them do it. It's a great bad short. I like this DvX as I can actually watch these on the laptop (though I'm not sure how a full movie would work as it takes forver to download even a 13 minute short) Can't wait to watch and review it!
