Out of all the rifftraxes done so far, the one I've been avoiding is Predator. I love the movie, I admit that in some parts you could get some great jokes, but MJ's review and the fact that Mike goes solo on this one made me question wheter I should watch or not. I'd like to see what Mike Nelson has done, but I don't want the riffing to mess up my future viewings. The Predator Rifftrax was fantastic for me. I'm not a major fan of the movie but I do like it. Mike does point out a few things though. It really is a slow movie!

I'll confuse the issue by claiming it as not only my absolute favorite Mike solo effort, but also in my top five overall. I kind of like the movie itself, too.

In looking back at the Rifftrax catalog, I'd say the "Three Stooges" thing was the worst by far. Of the downloads, I"ll give the title to "Wicker Man." That said, I love Rifftrax and have bought every one so far.

If I had to vote for the "worst"...going by my ratings in the reviews...I'd say 5th Element and The Grudge was pretty bad. Oh, and Dr. Moreau was not so good either.
Do you like it better then Road House?

Obvviously I thought Pred was just fair. While Gammers least fav Grudge was pretty funny to me, it all comes to tatse. So Rom, don 't just go by my review.
But hey, how did this thread change to a "least fav" thread. lol

Of course, I'm going to get it eventually. Heh, MST3K's head writer meets the galaxy's most famous alien hunter. How can I miss that? I just want to know one thing. I'm not asking for major spoilers, but how's the jokes on our Predator friend?
Slow movie?! I wonder what would you guys say when they do a Rifftrax on Alien.
Well, personally, I wouldn't mind Mike, Bill and Kevin taking on the Alien/Predator franchise. But I'm puzzled why they didn't take on the lesser movies in the franchise. Just 3 movies from the series I'd like to see make on Rifftrax:
1. Alien:Resurection - Dr. Forrester's description of a sequel fits this one perfectly: Unwanted, Uncalled for, Unnecesary. My least favorite of the franchise. They may avoid this one because of its over the top gore, but I'd like to see a full out Manos-like riff assault on this one.
2. AVP - Hated to the extreme among Alien/Predator fans, I admit that I kind of like it, but not enough to spare it. Containing two of the series' worst things, A:R's alien design and the inexcusable Predator face design, throw in some questionable acting and Paul Anderson's "style" and you've got a perfect candidate for riffing.
3. AVP-R - The new sequel did correct some mistakes from the first, but makes some new ones. This one would be a walk in the park from the riffers' point of view. Every time I watch this one, I come up with some really great riffing. Ex: "People are dying...." - Guy "Of boredom." - Me "......We need guns." - Guy "Oh, yeah. That will stop people from dying." - Me I hope that as soon as the DVD comes out, Mike, Kevin and Bill would be there with a Rifftrax. This is an opportunity they can't miss.

Do you like it better then Road House? I'm afraid Road House isn't even in my top 20, Gammer. (Don't hit!) I've only watched it once though -- maybe it'll grow on me.

For some reason I have trouble watching the Matrix rifftrax. I really liked this movie and pretty soon I'm paying more attention to it rather than the Rifftrax. When I first watched it with the Trax I got the uncomfortable feeling that Mike and Kevin were a couple of obnoxious guys sitting behind me at the movie theater who wouldn't shut up. Never happend before and it hasn't happened since. Wierd.
