Another one! From the Rifftrax description: "Heroin, it turns out, is bad. The Terrible Truth lays waste to the all-too-common myth that regular heroin use is a healthy part of a balanced diet."shop.rifftrax.com/ondemand/terrible-truth

Okay, the subject matter did hurt me (too real sometimes) but the riffing was very funny and I liked the "Ring of Terror" music that played in the background and the way the guy pronounced his words. Another winner

Have "good sense" not to be an addict. How enlightened.

Have "good sense" not to be an addict. How enlightened. And almost as effective as the "Just say no" campaign.

Could callipygias or or someone edit the title to indicate this is a special trial DRM free release? With all the people bitching about the DRM and how they wouldn't buy it, it was decided to see if those same people would put their money where their mouth is.

Digital rights management, like with downloadable music where your right to play or copy the file may be restricted. Something like that. The difference I noted was that I could download the actual divx file for this one, rather than downloading a rights file (or whatever it was) that would authorize my divx player to download the movie, as the other shorts did. Anyway, that was a pretty funny short, but it never really seemed to kick into high gear.

BathTub, that is harsh and I don't appreciate it. I prefer to think of it as the fans 'voicing their opinion'. As someone who represents RiffTrax, I think that comment was very unprofessional. It might be the kind of thing you say amongst other RiffTrax employee's but you shouldn't say that to the hand that feeds you.

Wow, I passed this one up for "Fun With Shorts" because of the subject matter. I'm very interested to see what they did with it.

I'm thrilled that they decided to do a DRM-free Rifftrax-On-Demand. Being a Linux user, I couldn't watch the previous DIVX shorts, and didn't want to mess around with using an archive.org version of the short. Needless to say, I bought this as soon as I got the email about it. Haven't had time to watch it yet - hopefully later on today.

Sorry if you choose to disagree, but repeatedly stating an opinion over and over again in any remotely related thread crosses a line. You know what I am referring to. Also I am not an employee, you know that too. Not sure why you decided to take it so personally because you know it wasn't addressed to you.

Also I am not an employee, you know that too. Not sure why you decided to take it so personally because you know it wasn't addressed to you. I know it wasn't addressed to me and I do know what you are referring to. And I agree that repeating a dislike for DRM over and over is not called for. I think that should be delt on one level. BathTub, even though you are not an official RiffTrax employee, folks do see you representing RiffTrax. Otherwise you wouldn't be "seond banana", right? I think the honorable thing is to rise above the complaining; not lower yourself to their level. I can't think of any other legit business that would say, "we've had enough bitching from you guys, so we'll give you want you want. So buy it!". RiffTrax has obviously tried this new format for our benefit, and I see allot of compliments in regards to it (on both forums). Which is good, because when RiffTrax only offered the shorts in a DRM DivX format, there was lots of...lets say...'non-compliments' Another way to look at it is this: Fans "bitching" is our job. Otherwise, how would RiffTrax know what we want and if they are doing a good job.

It might be the kind of thing you say amongst other RiffTrax employee's but you shouldn't say that to the hand that feeds you. I've got to agree. When people produce a product for the general public, they need to be able to handle "bitching." If someone doesn't like something, they don't like it and they should be able to say so. Of course, it can cross a line, and maybe it has for you. But otherwise, people need to toughen themselves up and roll with the punches. If the criticism is warranted, then see to the problem. If it's not warranted, then you shouldn't be concerned with it. DRM, however, is sheer evil. There is never an appropriate use for it, in my opinion. I realize there was never any ill intent on Rifftrax's part, but it's still unnecessary. Rifftrax should've known that these complaints would be coming, from day one. Anyway, kudos to them for learning from their mistakes.
