Azwar the Wilf, if you liked the Iron and Wine try to get the EP that's kind of a companion piece to 'The Creek Drank the Cradle'--'The Sea and the Rythm'. Nico's 'Chelsea Girls' is a great album, 4 of the songs she worked with the Velvet Underground especially 'It Was A Pleasure Then'. If you liked it check out Nico's 'Marble Index', produced by John Cale.

Sounds like a female "Death Cab", though they might have come before Dead Cab. Plus Queen II (Incredible, epic music), and the latest Weezer that I found used (very sporatic and Rivers has completely lost it as a lyricist. Real pedestrian, the guy needs to buy a thesaurus and a rhyming dictionary in the worst way)

My most recent purchases are "Floor's Too Far Away" by Ozric Tentacles, "Body/End/Basement" by Single Frame and "Without Feathers" by The Stills.

I don't know the whole story, but the US release was only a single LP - I FINALLY get to hear it in all its double album beauty. Great great CD I also picked up The Trucks (a band from Seattle), a Rocket From The Crypt CD (The one with the snake on the cover). The first LP from the Smithereens and one that C made me buy without ever hearing it, a Seattle band named The Catheters and she was right, I loved it (They are very Hives like)

I spent 40 dollars (shipping included) on eBay to get this CD which I've wanted ever since I first heard George Hawkins on Mick Fleetwood's The Visitor and I'm Not Me and Christine McVie's 1984 solo album. It wasn't released in the US, only in Germany so I had to wait a long time to even find a copy on eBay to bid for. Spending that much money on a single CD was kind of hard to do, but after having the CD for a few weeks and listening on a regular basis, I'm happy I made the purchase. Matt

Woo-Hoo, the New Avril Lavigne CD is out! Yeah, yeah, I know. I think that inside of me there lives a teenage girl. ;D Not as good as her last CD, doesn't show any growth as an artist like the second and she's probably trying to make her fanbase happy by putting out an album of faster paced poppers. But for a guy who gets all excited when the Archies, "Sugar, Sugar", comes on the radio, that's okay. Fun, but I actually like the slower to medium paced tunes the best - with the lyrics that were obviously inspired by her husband. (who knew angry Avril could be so... squishy)

Spin Doctors - Pocket Full of Kryptonite yes I know I'm 15 years behind times. I might get around to listen to that new kind of of music I think it's called Grunge music.

"Year Zero" by Nine Inch Nails - The reviews for this record were great so I went for it. I was skeptical about this one at first and after a few plays i'm really getting into it. The futurist element is interesting but I have to say the hooks and beats are great. I love the part before they go into the chorus in "God Given", if you've heard this song you know what I mean.
"Plastic Ono Band" by John Lennon - This album is a classic that needs no lengthy review. The screams at the end of "Mother" are still harrowing.
