4 new rough (yes, rough - some off key singing, screwed up leads etc) unmixed tracks.. check 'em out Ophelia's Kiss "Deliruim"Includes "Seattle", simple quick 2 track recording - I sang it several times, with both lyrics. I had no idea what I was going to do. When I went to record it I sang the first line that came to my head. Click on the stand alone player so you can explore the internet while listening.

Thanks you two and thanks to those who sent me PMs (You know who you are).
These are rough drafts and I'm the man behind the curtain on all the sounds. So you can only blame me if it sucks.
So far. Muse is the most polished, with bass, keys included. But it was at the end of the day and my voice was cracking, so I need to redo a vocal track there. (I wanted it to sound raw, but not break like Alfalfa. ;D)
Puzzles (The musical equivalent to "David and Lisa" or Walker Percy's "Second Coming") is pretty close, I need to hire a real drummer for it and get the bass recorded.
There's A Girl (Pure 60s pastiche) needs to be filled out with bass and a real drummer. There are a few rough spots but I like the vocals.
Seattle, I need to re-record the vox for the opening verse, my voice cracks and waivers nervously (probably because I didn't know which line I was going to sing. lol). I'm gonna use this as the cloeser, and I think I'm going to keep it acoustic. I think there's a sweetness to it and I don't want to over produce it and crush it under the weight of too many more tracks.
And they all need to be mixed and mastered. But thank you all for being kind and not mentioning the rough patches.
BUT, Don't expect this soon. I plumb broke the studio budget and need to build up the savings again before I can continue. It might take me the whole year.

I thought you were talking about Michael Jordan.

Oh for Christmas sake... ;D That sounds like something my brother would say (He is to Basketball, what VH is to wrestling) - Even on an MST board, where MJs have always meant only one of two thing (Mighty Jack or Mary Jo), my brother too, would first think of Jordan. Cracks me up. Thanks for the laugh KGB But what I wanted to add, when this project is done I'm gonna give away the CD for free to board members who want 'em (and please, don't be shy. I'd feel like crap if I made the offer and no one bites)

Seems MSTies are always the nicest people I meet. Oh, and as far as the title of the thread, I knew immediately that MJ didn't mean Mary Jo. She's got a great singing voice. Not only her 'When Loving Lovers Love' performance, but I've always liked the small vocal part she supplied in the opening theme song as Pearl in the later episodes. Thanks again for being so generous with your CD, MJ. I'll ensure that I pay it forward.

Working on Puzzles: awesome lyrics. Seriously.
Muse and Seattle are also very distinctive. These three sound like a real unique sound that makes me now think that "MJ" has a voice. Sweetness, man.

Having listened to the songs, I'm willing to concede that you sing much better than His Airness. Course I've never heard him sing before, but I still feel confident in saying that.
