Can't beat Spock's Beard. Neal Morse is my hero. I just saw him live here in Denver last week, and it was unbelievable. He played the Spock's Beard classic, "Harm's Way" in his set. The most recent SB album with their new lead singer is also very great. But here's the new Neal Morse that I can't get out of my head:

I'll have to get caught up. Haven't heard anything from Morse since Snow, which, oddly enough, I listened to recently.

Man, I love Snow. Spock's Beard V also gets repeated plays for me lately. For Neal's stuff since then, I'd say every Transatlantic album is a masterpiece, especially Bridge Across Forever and Whirlwind. His solo stuff is hit or miss, but even the weak stuff is pretty amazing.

The Fendertones with a really spot on cover but what I really get from this is the absolute genius that Brian Wilson was back in the day in terms of arranging a piece of music.

pavarotti & clapton - can't think of one without the other. still impressive - two musical giants performing together. it was a song clapton was said to have written while in rehab.

Good old UK Rock n Roll from Capability Brown. It's a shame they never got the exposure they deserved.
