I liked it in it's time but I have no use for it now. I think Comfortably Numb is the only song I would choose to listen to now.

It came out when I was in high school, but it seems like it is still being played to death. I like it, but it's not their best, and I'm sick of hearing it.

Aside from a few high spots, it's very tepid and deserves a lot of flak. For the most part, it's the largest drop in musical quality, looking at their discography sequentially, and lyrically it's rather petty and bland compared to some of their earlier stuff. In my opinion.

It meant a lot to me when it came out. The Oedipal themes kind of woke me up to my suffocating relationship with my Mom. I wore down the grooves on that vinyl quite a bit until I left for college.
I got the CD's a few years back, but they're currently collecting dust in the closet. I have no intention of taking them out any time soon. The material is pretty dated.

I still enjoy though not as well as their other albums or especially compared to other great progressive rock records of the period. To tell the truth I watch the movie much more the I listen to the record. The animation in it is pretty incredible.

I despise the Wall. It's overplayed, overrated and basically a Roger Waters solo album with the rest of Floyd playing backup.
It angers me that the great songs off the Wall (ie Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell, Young Lust) are so overplayed and the great tracks on Animals and Meddle (ie the whole damn albums) never see any light.
