Okay, I know I'm not the only freakin person on the planet who is like this, so who out there has music they listen to when they have a crush on someone?
Here's my list so far.
En Vogue- Don't Let Go Chris Isaak- Wicked Game Staind- It's Been Awhile (acoustic version) Adina Howard- Freak Like Me 3 Days Grace- Pain Kelis- Blindfold Me Meredith Brooks- What Would Happen Sarah McLachlan- Posession Snow- Lady With the Red Dress Crazy Town- Butterfly
Anybody else?

I understand what you're talking about.
But being a synesthete everything gets sort of twisted around with me. The atmosphere really really determines what I want to listen to, and my mood as well.
For instance, that Staind song, "It's Been a While" I couldn't listen to on a sunny day, or daytime at all for that matter. It's a very dark gray song to me, and I would probably listen to it driving somewhere in the dark while it is raining.
But if I had a crush, I'm assuming that I'd be in a pretty good mood, so I would listen to songs that were probably daytime and brighter colored songs to me. Maybe just sort of a medium beat, since it's really not a hyper-happy mood.

I know what you mean, but I don't really do that anymore. I don't often associate music with my emotional state(s), these days. It's weird. I don't know why, but I just don't. If I really was hurtin' over someone, I'd probably skim through my iTunes and listen to all the heartache/heartbreak songs. Either that or, if it's unrequited love, a lot of angry music. (Which, for me, usually equals Foo Fighters and The Hives.)

Okay so I'm a loser like that. I guess it stems from my Asperger's Syndrome and how I can't really appropriately convey how I feel. My happy/sad/angry/indifferent face all look the same. Music kinda helps me figure it out better.

Music kinda helps me figure it out better. I'm the same way. And no, you're not a loser. I do get what you mean. If anyone's a loser here, it's me. I just don't get much emotional charge out of anything anymore. I suppose it's the depression talking. Music is still a good, albeit brief, refuge for me, though. I could talk about it for hours. So, listening to much music, these days? ;D

It's a very dark gray song to me Hmmm, Does anyone else usually use color do describe music ? Time of day / mood / & predominant atmoshere are all key at times, but I've always found color to be the overidingly most 'apt'. I'd use yellows, orange or green to describe some morning-time Cat Stevens, say . . or purpley-blue for dark n' spooky. Something ferociously metal is a burning red, but a group like Led Zep, who are a "Heavy-Metal" base with loads of Donovan elements brings shades to orange or brick-red . .ya' know ? That's what really works w/ colors afterall , blending a dash gets you blue-gray... or even deep blue-gray ! I don't know as I 'taste' the colors, but I sure feel and see `em !

A fellow synesthete! WOOOHOOOOOO! *high five* Yeah ! and your whoopy response is quite flannel-feeling in an earthy-green way, while tasting of the strawberry songs of XTC, of course !

Really? WOOOHOOOO is a light purplish-gray to me until you get to the "HOOOOOOO" part. That's yellow. Cream of wheat texture.

A lot of the "crush" music I remember goes back to the sixth grade... like the Joe Diffie song So Help Me Girl... and that one Mariah Carey song One Sweet Day...
