What's the worst music purchase you've ever made?
I remember mine was Nickelback. It was when that Silverside Up album came out, I was in middle school. It was oh so disappointing and awful. I still hate Nickelback. They are so overrated. Every single song of theirs sounds the same to me too.

John Squire's (the guitarist from The Stone Roses) first solo album, "Time Changes Everything." Squire can't sing and there were no good guitar solos to boot. I did like the final song, "Sophia," however. That would have made a good Stone Roses track.

Lord there are too many to remember. But the album by "M" I recall being a disaster. I bought it because I liked that "Pop Music" song. That wound up being the only thing that even closely resembled something listenable on the entire LP. Blech!

Whiplash Boychild by Chris Connelly
Geez, I should have been able to tell from the album name alone.

Torrid Anus Under the Pink. Good god, is that awful? It's no better than the worst kind of introspective, open-mic night crap at a college town pub. Just self-pitying rubbish.
EDIT: Sorry, MJ, I wrote this before reading your thread about music that had lost its luster. Well, "sorry" isn't the word because you state that this album is one you're not longer enamored of, right? I can't stand Tori Amos, she's an abomination.

Extremely disappointing. I was thinking the songs were orchestrated and all, but they turned out to be jazz/fusion/whatever it's called. I tried listening to that CD about a month ago and realized why I hadn't listened to it since the day I purchased it. Matt

"Cherry Pie"-Warrant Woo boy. Bad album. Amen to that!!!! I really hate Warrant. But the worst music purchase I've had was buying Rooney's first CD. Terrible album, terrible band.

Neon Bible by The Arcade Fire.
Here's me, trying to keep up with what's hip and all the rage.
Here's me, hearing a track from their previous album ("Wake Up" from Funeral), and thinking it's not bad.
Here's me, at the store buying the new release, trusting my musical friends who recommended it.
Here's me, immediately wanting my money back.
Honorable mention to Blonde on Blonde by Bob Dylan, an album I've purchased twice in the hopes that I'm just missing something. And now I really am-- my hard earned cash.

I really did love that first record, the whole vibe and the baroque sound. "Neon Bible" is a mess. One of those recodrs that I'm 'supposed' to like and just can't make myself like no matter what. I just don't understand how a band regresses that badly.. truly one and done.

Blonde on Blonde by Bob Dylan Heh heh...currently residing somewhere in the back of my car, because I'm too lazy to get it out to throw it away or give it to anyone.

Hmmm, well this will show how old I am, but Tin Machine's album that came out in 1989. I mean, David Bowie was in the band! It couldn't possibly be bad, could it?? ;D
