I have both Tarkio albums (I think?) but haven't really listened to them much yet! If you have the 2-disc Omnibus album, then you have everything they did. I like it a lot, some songs far more than others, but there's lots and lots there for the Decemberists fan.

Trying to avoid accidentally posting normal singles or mini-albums here goes (in no particular order): Hi Scores by Boards Of Canada Wonderful early release on the Skam label I was so chuffed to get this on vinyl. Everything You Do Is A Balloon is still one of my absolute favourite Boards songs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOH52LiK54k&feature=relatedEP by Mogwai A toss up between this and the My Father My King single that only had one song on it but in Britain at the time the limit for a single was 20 mins and the song lasts 20 mins 12 secs so it technically becomes an EP. I plopped for EP instead because every song on it is wonderful, especially their tribute to Stanley Kubrick. www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8J98ZeS-MEStarethrough EP by Seefeel Home to one of the finest songs ever made, Spangle. The rest of the disc is pretty darn good too! (Couldn't find anything off of the EP so here's Fracture off of the album Succour that came out soon after): www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqCWksJQJrwAikea Guinea by Cocteau Twins Chuck beat me to it. In all honesty it could have been any of their EPs. A band that understood how great an EP can be. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEpeZm_f1ZkAnvil Vapre by Autechre It's got Second Bad Vibel and Second Peng on it. The other two tracks wouldn't even matter if it wasn't for the fact they're great. Another act who "got" the EP. Shame they seem to have stopped doing them now as their last one Gantz Graf was in 2002! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8ZeEHp0afA
