Ppl are going to think this is stupid, but the Rainbow Connection makes me teary eyed.

A song has never really made me cry but I did have a lady friend about 15 years ago who absolutely bawled every time she heard "Seasons in the Sun".....Lord how I loathe that song.

I don't want to admit to full-on crying, but I do tear up at 2 songs from Music from Big Pink: I Shall Be Released & especially Long Black Veil. Both very haunting.

It's only happened twice, almost a third time. The only one worth noting is Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, which finally made me crack after my brother died.

I still have a hard time with the song, but I only cried from it that one time - that was two days after I had gotten the news.

So I was fooling around on the computer yesterday, and on a whim I went to Youtube to see if I could hear Death Cab For Cutie's "I Will Follow You Into The Dark." I'd heard snatches of it here and there but never the whole thing. So it starts playing, along with a video that shows sketchbook drawings of two adorable bunnies in love. They are happy until one of them dies. That's a good song, Mrs. P. Say, you don't happen to listen to the Church of Lazlo on your alt rock station there in Seatle, do you? I know they play that song a lot.

I am guessing that Shep listens to The Church of Lazlo on 96.5 The Buzz. Am I correct?

"Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procol Harum. That song carries a lot of the baggage of the sorrier parts of my youth. That song can instantly and catastrophically depress me anywhere and anytime.

I forgot all about this one! I mean, it can be a good song, and, the lyrics are somewhat nonsensical, but, if you interpret them the right way, they spell out a downfall of someone who is great. It has touched me personally several times. Servo
