Interesting to see this thread pop up again. Last night I was listening to Aimee Mann and the song "It's Not" came on and the tears started up. Aimee summed up my life in a nutshell. Plus the last line reminded me of someone.
Man I wish I could write a song like this.

Not gonna lie - I have a friend who gets cries when she hears the End Credits song from MST3K.
Bach's Air on a G String makes me cry now because it was the first song played at my piano teacher's memorial service and I lost it in the church when they started up with it on the organ.

Not gonna lie - I have a friend who gets cries when she hears the End Credits song from MST3K. That's understandable. When I was a little MSTie, I'd get a little misty when I listened to it, too.

"Cat's in the Cradle" always makes me cry. We used to sing it at summer camp a lot, and I was already homesick then. So now whenever I hear it, it's like a Pavlovian reaction and I immediately start tearing up.

"13th Star" by Fish was always one of the most emotionally-affecting songs I've heard. I've never heard such genuine emotion in a vocal delivery before.

No song makes me "cry a lot," but I do get misty over two, "What a Wonderful World," and "Everything Must Change," which come to think of it have complementary philosophies.

I thought about this the past week, and I realized it isn't a "song," but really, most of Beethoven's symphonies leave me crying--and hard, too, from their beauty.

Not gonna lie - I have a friend who gets cries when she hears the End Credits song from MST3K. Heh, I was just going to say that. I'm such a sap, and WAY too attached... Also 'Snuff' by Slipknot and 'Slow Dancing in a Burning Room' by John Mayer.

A song by Peter Hammill called "Betrayed." It's the most painful expression of a relationship breaking up I have ever heard. "When I began, I was full of altruistic dreams..."
Mahler's Symphony no. 2 "Resurrection" not only makes me cry, I actually start shaking near the end of it. It affects me that much.
"Heart Hotels" by Dan Fogelberg. My life, in a nut shell.
"Lady in Red" by Chris De Burgh. I don't want to talk about it...

"You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban makes me lose it. I have to turn it off when it comes on... A lot of stuff by Martina McBride also makes me cry. "Come Around Again" by Chris Taylor makes me get a little misty, too, depending on when I listen to it. This also makes me cry, which is kind of sad... www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxL4qxxn7KY&playnext_from=TL&videos=f2e3SkKFCo4

Birdgirl90, I had never seen that video. It really does tug at the heart strings. Thanks for sharing that. It's now going on my FB page.
