Nothing that bad. Nothing.

I had posters. And a watch.
I seriously think that MST3K saved me. I got into the show just after and the slight hype I caught went away. Riffage as an antibiotic!

Yeah, New Kids on the Block were a little after my time (whenever my time was...). I was a huge Duran Duran freak back in the early '80's, though. I'm not embarrassed about that -- actually I still think their first two albums were pretty good.

Yes, the early albums, also "Ordinary World" is amazing IMO. I also find myself singing along to the annoyingly catchy "Rio" when I hear it on the radio. New Kids on the other hand--a super suckfest.

I like Duran Duran too!
I know I can't be the only one with embarassing musical skeletons in their closet. I'm not talking a bad song you inexplicably like. I mean something on par with New Kids. Like being a Rush fan or something.

haha, I was a Billy Idol fan when I was a kid. 'Cradle of Love', not to mention Sir Mix-a-lot, haha.

Nothing wrong with a little Duran Duran. My early, early nostalgia is pretty decent. I grew up with the likes of Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, the Beatles, Peter Gabriel... Not bad. My more recent nostalgia consists of Weezer and the Pixies, which is also pretty formidable. No regrets.

Wait, how can you be nostalgic for 1960s and 1970s musicians when you weren't around then? I was raised on a lot of 1950s music, which I have anti-nostalgia for.

I'm an ABBA fan. Always have been. I love ABBA, too. Massive sound, catchy songs. (And if Alan Partridge like them, it can't be wrong. LOL)

I had a few Bay City Rollers albums back in the day. It took years of therapy and Buddhist meditation to rid my self of the shame.

The first band I ever really listened to was Subhumans, way back when. And I'm thankful for that.

Replying to an ancient topic (O.o) I had to be a child of 90s and live my "tween" years suffering through Hanson and Spice Girls. I guess the Spice Girls are still tolerable in a cheesy way, I haven't bought the Greatest Hits CD/DVD yet. The first two albums were great, but the third was craptacular, the girls were feeding into the Destiny's Child-fueled millennium sound that was popular at the time.
