I'd like to see them do a post-apocalyptic movie. "Warrior of the Lost Word" and "Escape from the Bronx" are two of my fave MST3K eps. Perhaps one of these:
2020 Texas Gladiators 2019: After the Fall of New York 1990: The Bronx Warriors

The point of that otherwise pointless anecdote is to say I agree with the previous posters and hope they keep CT from getting too blue. Riff-trax has no choice but to use unedited movies. There's not much reason to hold back a dirty joke when riffing on Roadhouse or Cocktail. Joel and Mike were both adamant about keeping MST family-friendly, regardless that it was on cable (although even Sci-fi censors to broadcast standards). I'm almost certain Cinematic Titanic will be just the same.

No I wasn't the guy who did any write-ups.
And, for the record, I don't have any problems with Rifftrax. I think they've done a good job at keeping it family-friendly for the most part.
My issue on that board was really early on. The discussion was about the use of "bullsh**" in the first Star Trek movie they did (which I thought was funny), and specifically if it was characteristic of what Rifftrax was going to be.

I'm confused. In the starwars interview Joel says they're watching Zardoz for the live performance, right? And in the Cinematic Titanic blog he says they're doing an obscure, bad movie for the live performance, and then releasing a studio version of it three days later. Yet RAD assures us it's not Zardoz. Anyone else confused?

I had the same thought.

He says that he’s going to watch Zardoz with the ILM guys who like to watch and make fun of bad movies. It’s a separate thing from CT.

To quote Joel:
"The first official Cinematic Titanic feature will be available for sale the Monday following our world premiere on Friday, December 7th. That makes the street date a solid, nearly firm, December 10th or as close as we can get. It's a studio version of the live show packed with cool bonus features, so save your juice money. The name of the film we'll be riffing on is a secret, but I'll try to tempt you with some vague descriptions: it's very rare, it's very strange, and it's of questionable quality. Needless to say it's going to be perfect for our experiments. Please sign up for the mailing list if you haven’t already. We just love it when you do."

Change, Not sure if you're assuming that the first CT movie is going to be Zardoz based on Joel's interview, but I can tell you that it is not Zardoz. I think Joel is going to sit in with the Fleck group (ILM's impromptu MST3K-like riffers) for Zardoz, and the first CT movie will be played (or presented live) at the actual ILM event.

Yeah, Joel also said
--Then, tonight -- the Flecks and I are going have some pizza, watch Sean Connery in Zardoz, and riff until the wee hours.--

Thanks, RAD. No I wasn't assuming anything. I just knew I had (thought) that I heard/read Joel say that it was going to be the same as the live show; but looking at the quote again, I was mistaken.
Thanks again.

I remember one of the MST3K Review sites (Mighty Jack's? I'm not sure) had Speculated Seasons 11 and 12. Basically listing other "typical MST" films that may have had a chance to be riffed on, if the show had continued. For this Speculation Thread, I think they would be a good place to start. Could someone post a thread or link to them? I remember seeing The Norsemen (with Lee Majors and "Crenshaw") on the list. I later saw most of it on Showtime, and it indeed was a riffable prospect. Anyone know where I saw this? M-Jacks Season 11

I'm hoping and praying for them to do a little unknown film called Nukie[/i]. I saw it a couple of years back thanks to a friend who had a collection of rare and bizzare movies. It was awful. Worse then awful. Makes some of the stuff seen on MST3K seem like cinematic epics.[/quote] Exactly the movie I'm hoping they do as well. I actually own Nukie on VHS. I bought it a while back just because my wife and I love to riff movies in real time (we have trouble keeping silent at theaters), and I'd read some terrible reviews on this one. Trust me, this movie is perfect for riffing! Do you doubt me? Just check out this short clip I uploaded to YouTube a couple of months ago. Nukie on YouTubeAnd before one of you rushes off to make a riff of it at cuts.com... I saved you the time. Nukie on Cuts.comAnd then... there's always MegaForce!
