This news is... it's... too fantastic. And the first title in time for Christmas? I... I cannot contain my excitement! RAD, is it okay if I post this news on another messageboard, or are you trying to keep it exclusive for now? *embarrased* Ooh, I hope he says it's okay, 'cause I already posted the news in some other places. Well Joel SAID "keep circulating the url" so I thought...! I'm just really excited right now!!

Oh yes! Joel is back! With Trace and Josh! Suppose the hints were there in some of the Quickstop interviews and the fact that Trace and Josh left that America's Home Video thing. Hopefully if it is a DVD it comes out long enough before Xmas that i can import it. Post is murder that time. Still if I need to wait till after then the excitement will just build and build.
Did I say Oh yes!?

*Suddenly I feel sorry for poor Paul, though.* Same here. I keep getting this image of Paul over at MST3k.com HQ reading about Cinematic Titanic and heading towards the door to join Joel & friends -- only to find the all doors impenetrably locked. Then Jim Mallon steps out like Saruman and chains Paul to a computer desk and says "You cannot leave. Write. WRIIITE!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!" Heh. Actually, I'm genuinely interested to see what both camps have to offer.

I like the message on the bottom: " Keep circulating the URL." And did you notice the email address of the Cinematic Titanic mailing list? infoclub@cinematictitanic.com

This is getting ridiculous. I can't get "Duelling Banjos" out of my head.

Wow! I mean, really wow. What is going on here? Cool projects are just crawling out of the woodwork, and I'm darn excited about it.
Frankly, I'm not wild about Rifftrax/Film Crew going head-to-head with Cinematic Titanic. I think they would do well to combine their forces. Maybe I just don't like the idea of these groups being "competitors" rather than "collaborators."
Still - Joel? Trace? Mary Jo? Josh?? There's no way I'm not supporting this outfit, and I'm a big fan of Rifftrax.

I'm thinking they really won't be butting heads that much. Rifftrax is pretty solidly sticking to a format of much more current films, and the whole "rifftrax-concept" of syncing them.
I see this new project more like what the Film Crew was doing (two years ago) and even though Bob Honcho has said there will be more, future releases may be more along the lines of new Legend Films colorized releases with Riff commentary tracks (I'm just speculating wildly here).
If that is indeed the case, then it leaves a very nice avenue open for the rest of the gang. I think what surprised me the most was Joel's comment that "it made him want to do it all over again". I honestly didn't think he had any interest in revisiting movie riffing. I'm so happy he's back!

Well I guess now we know why Trace and Josh aren't in the AMF credits anymore.
Awesome. That photo of Joel reminds me a bit of my dad, just a tad younger and wearing glasses.

Is AFHV even still on?
I would think YouTube killed it years ago.

I don't think it'll really sink in until I actually hear his voice, but Trace is back! It was terrible when he left MST. I ended up loving Bill, but I can't believe we'll actually get to hear Trace's humor again. (Especially after that long interview when he sounded perfectly happy to leave it all in the past.)
