"Wow , just went for some total eradication there , huh Roz ?" my pleasure . . this whole CinTi endeavor is still completely "pinch me" ( as is new Futurama ) and I can't wait to share with my MsTy / CinTy pals ! I voted for download and burn your own. Everything that has been said has been about their "vendor" handling all the bandwidth and the actually delivery of the Cinematic Titanic offerings. I still think that if the vendor is going to deliver physical DVDs to your mailbox they would still be DVD-Rs and NOT stamped DVDs.

I can't stand the excitement anymore. I WANT MY CINEMATIC TITANIC RIGHT #$%&ING NOW!!!!!!!
Oh, and I picked the DVD option. I hovered over the "chef's surprise" option for quite some time. Initial reaction was that it was a really dumb idea. But the more I thought about it, the more I liked it. Picked a straight "yes" for it.

I like the chef's surprise thing too, but I think there's no way to really keep it a surprise with the internet these days.

I voted the big big no on chef's surprise. That would just kill me.
But then, anticipating upcoming rifftrax for a week or so sometimes takes away some of the freshness 'cause everybody's talked the movie out before the riff is even available.
But really, I'd hate the waiting to know what I was getting. Yeah, given the choice, I'd rather be able to anticipate the title.

Chef's surprise idea is dumb. You don't want to pay for something you where don't know what you're going to get. It's like getting a McMystery Meal at McDonalds, where you could get a cheeseburger even if you don't like it. Or a WCW PPV from 1999.

Yes, but in this case instead of McDonald's or the WCW, we're talking about Cinematic Titanic. Where's your blind devotion to Joel? And what about Frank? You don't trust Frank's choice of movies?

Same basic concept. I like Joel, but I'm not going to fork over money to him and not knowing what I'm getting. He's not Jesus.

BLASPHEMY!...O-Oh wait, no, you're right, actually. Sorry. Carry on. ;D (Clearly, we need to ask ourselves What Would Joel Do?)

Got the e-mail, filled the survey. I voted a tentative no for the chef's surprise... I do like to know what I'm getting. (I currently own only 2 of the Film Crew titles. I liked knowing that they did Wild Women of Wongo, because a friend and I actually watched that movie one night riffing it ourselves for fun. It was truly awesome to see how they riffed it.)
I like the idea of a subscription though, if it is a good package deal that dramatically reduces the original prices. And I suppose if you had a subscription already, then chef's surprise would be a good idea...
What about sending them out early to those that subscribe, then offering them for individual sale a week later? Keeping it chef's surprise for those with subscriptions, and then revealing what it is so those that buy on a by-movie basis could decide whether they want it?
Also, it's been said before but... with all this renewed interest in riffing by almost all of those involved with the MST franchise (and even the renewed interest in the MST license itself with the misguided flash cartoons site) we really need to see a reunion! How about the Film Crew and Cinetanic joining forces? Or... although this is surely dreaming, because it requires Jim to see some sense... a full on revival of MST in the direct to dvd / pay-download format? Hey, it looks as likely as ever now!
Also, I voted for DVD. While it would involve additional costs for mailing it, if I'm paying for something I prefer having it in a physical format. (Plus I don't have unlimited hard drive space to save them, and burned DVDs just don't have the same "official" flavor.) Hopefully it would mean actual professionally produced dvds, like the Film Crew did.
My thoughts.

Yeah I selected DVD. I will download if I have to, but I would prefer a real DVD.
