I voted for DVD too, and Chef's Surprise. I think it'll keep us more interested, actually, than Rifftrax or Film Crew who lay out what they're doing ahead of time (of course, Rifftrax has to so you can actually get the DVD before it's release, so that's understandable.).

Finally got my first e-mail from them. I don't care for the downloads, I'd rather have the DVD. And I don't mind subscriptions, either.
I also don't mind the Chef's Surprise. Sort of like when it was on the air, and TV Guide didn't have the name of the movie they'd be broadcasting that week. So, it's like the good old days on Comedy Central.

Got mine too. My response mirrored Chuck's.

Yes, but in this case instead of McDonald's or the WCW, we're talking about Cinematic Titanic. Where's your blind devotion to Joel? And what about Frank? You don't trust Frank's choice of movies? Didn't Frank pick Radar Secret Service?

I knew from previous discussios here that most people would vote for the physical DVD, so I voted for the download because I would like to have that as an option... just in case, ya know? Chef's Surprise is a great idea, I used to subscribe to a Beer of the Month Club and received 2 six-packs of an American microbrew every month... never knew what it was gonna be until it arrived. That makes it extra fun to find a package waiting

I like the idea of a subscription though, if it is a good package deal that dramatically reduces the original prices...What about sending them out early to those that subscribe, then offering them for individual sale a week later? Agreed, I like the subscription idea. I voted for DVD, but I kinda wish you could have done multiple choices, cuz I would have put DVD and downloadable. If they have both I'm thinking of getting both at least for the first one so I can watch it right away and still get a real DVD, plus it's a little extra $$ bonus to the group for granting my wish of new Riffing from the originals. Someone else mentioned that they didn't say a real DVD would come with professional-ish packaging, which is a good point. If it's just someone else burring my DVD for me, I'll just go with the download. At first I thought the Chef thing was dumb, but once I thought about it, it's much like when a series is on TV. You tune in each week and just watch. Although there are commercials and the internet, which I guess would equate to his second choice of Chef with a peek-a-boo. I can't stand the excitement anymore. I WANT MY CINEMATIC TITANIC RIGHT #$%&ING NOW!!!!!!! You took the words right out of my keyboard, my friend....although I usually spell it %*ING.

I agree with some ideas about the Chef's Surprise - if this was free, or a dollar or two, it might be an awesome idea. However, I'm not paying through my nose without knowing exactly what I'm getting.

Just got mine! Well, technically I got it last night @ 11:15pm.
On the survey, I went with the DVD format and Chef's Surprise. I like being surprised. But I do think the Captain has a point; they should probably set up a sneak-peek section on CT.com. And we'd have to have a spoiler thread in this folder. I'm also in favor of the subscription possibility and weekly emails.

On the survey, I went with the DVD format and Chef's Surprise. I like being surprised. Same here. they should probably set up a sneak-peek section on CT.com. And we'd have to have a spoiler thread in this folder. That I disagree with, though. Even with that good idea of a spoiler thread--and assuming the information somehow managed to not leak out of that thread--I know that I, for one, wouldn't be able to stay out of it. Not once I saw others posting in there; it'd be too tempting. Chef's surprise idea is dumb. You don't want to pay for something you where don't know what you're going to get. 10 years of MST3K is enough of a precedent for me to trust them. They'd have to disappoint me many times before I'd start to question that.

"A man out sanding in his field."
Did they misspell "legacy"?
I voted for a surprise DVD, and I have no friends.
Edit: they did misspell legacy, look in the time tube paragraph. I say "they" because I'm not sure who wrote this...

"Chef's Suprise" is fine with me because I'm buying it because of them, not the movie.

What about sending them out early to those that subscribe, then offering them for individual sale a week later? Keeping it chef's surprise for those with subscriptions, and then revealing what it is so those that buy on a by-movie basis could decide whether they want it? I think that's a great idea. Also, it's been said before but... with all this renewed interest in riffing by almost all of those involved with the MST franchise (and even the renewed interest in the MST license itself with the misguided flash cartoons site) we really need to see a reunion! How about the Film Crew and Cinetanic joining forces? I think the chances of this happening (eventually) are pretty good. I'm sure they know it's every MSTie's dream. Chef's surprise idea is dumb. You don't want to pay for something you where don't know what you're going to get. 10 years of MST3K is enough of a precedent for me to trust them. Of all the MSTs there are only two I have no desire to ever see based on the movie. There are a few I don't like because of the movie, but I still own them. I chose yes on the Chef's Surprise as well, though I'd like to have a little more info on subscription costs before definitively answering Yes or No.

I still haven't gotten the email. Finally got my first e-mail from them. Are they sending these emails out one at a time? Why did some get it at 9pm, and others hours later, or not at all?
