Maybe this is a silly question, but, is anyone doing anything to sort of celebrate the days leading to or the day CT comes out, or if it comes out on DVD first, the day you see it?
We are thinking of making waffles when we see it! ;D

I hadn't really thought about it, but I do have this cool new waffle iron (my grandma gave it to me for my birthday...long story), so I could make some really kickass waffles! ;D
I don't want to get too carried away though, on the off-chance that this turns out to be a Cinematic Titanic Failure. *knock on wood* I mean, I'm sure it's gonna be awesome, but just in case it isn't, *knock on wood* I don't want to be standing there with party hats and banners and what-not. XD

XD If that one-in-a-trillion chance happens, you can use all the party favors to throw a perfectly justified drunken riot to mourn the failure. Just sayin.

Although I do share Robyn's sentiments. Up until now I have had such reservations, almost pessimist, but I'm softening, willing to be open to possibilities.

How could anyone be pessimistic about this? If you've seen a Rifftrax or a Film Crew, you know how good it can be, and with the return of so many familiar faces, unheard from in such a long time, I mean really.... pessimistic? The hell you say!

I will probably just get all cozy on the couch with a beer and watch it late the night it comes out (I always watch MST3K late at night, and "turn down the lights").
But, if it is as awesome as I hope/it has potential to be, I might try and gather up some of my old MST3K watchin buddies from college to watch it over the Holidays.

I haven't a shred a pessimism my own self , but boy , I'm quite ready to see the chorus of critics in these here ranks !
"They seemed to have aged to a degree !! / what's with the concept ?? / Joel vs Frank !!"
and I mean people , we've all been focused on what the 1st movie will be , but there's a whole new world they're obviously creating with Time-Tubes and such . . . what's that about ?
We're soon to see how they shot this / the general look of the lighting / how the scaffold will work.
If there's stuff like this Time-Tube then there must be some degree of new ideas afoot. We're about to see 5 very familar faces doing a deeply familar thing in a new way.
Many the mind will have to be wrapped around it !
Let the "what the ?!" begin ! :

That's a very good point, Big. I was afraid of that very thing when I watched The Film Crew, but it turned out, at leat for me, that I thought they did a great job--a completely new take but much of the same feel. So here's hoping...

I'm going to wildly check people's reviews here and then decide whether or not to buy one in the coming weeks and/or months! Wooo!

Heeey, I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea - I've been very VERY excited and happy about this thing since the moment I heard about it. It's just that now that's we're mere days away from the release date, I'm getting extremely excited and nervous and freaked out all at the same time. I'd like to think I'm having sympathy pains, but I doubt anyone at CineTit is as nervous as me, lol.

Honestly, I just wasn't happy with some of the other's projects. Rifftrax is alright, but The Film Crew left me very cold. Like I said, I'll save judgment on CT, and I'm willing to see what happens.
I'm no purest, either. It's cool if it' not like the show was, I just want myself to be on the floor in laughing tears by the time it's over!
