So, Anyone else notice just how many infrequent posters have been drawn back to these pages as the launch of "The Titanic" approaches ?
I'm seeing quite a few who've been members since `04 or `05 with 20 posts chiming in on the excitement.
It's thrilling , unifying , and just lovely for the holidays , no ?
BTW , where did this shot of the 5 CinTi's holding a finished Time-Tube come from ?? I go to the CinTi home-page & the most recent is Trace still sanding away on the tube .

I think I've posted in the last month more than in the last two years (joined May of 04).

It's true, I haven't been too active here since summer, and now...I'm always wondering if anyone has got new info, or what have you, about CT. It's pretty cool, and only Joel and the gang could stir up this kind of excitement!

I'm way more excited by this than Rifftrax. Mainly because Rifftrax would force me to see movies that either aren't bad, or I have no desire to pay to rent + pay to have riffed. It seems like, you know Joel & Co. are going to find terrible obscure movies that richly deserve whatever they're going to dish out and yet it's all going to be super fun at the same time. Win, win, win.

Heh, I know CT is the reason I stopped lurking and started posting. I mean, I wanted to talk about stuff, but as a relative newbie in a sea of world-weary oldbies ("When I was your age I had to walk ten miles through the snow BAREFOOT just to gather the parts to make my own Tom and Crow!"), it seemed like everything that could be said had been said and I had nothing to add. Now there's new things happening! And I STILL have nothing to add, actually, but now I feel less lame about it! I'm just thrilled to be part of history in my own small way. ;D
Also, y'know...Joel. Specifically, that Zoolander-pouty-face photo. That pretty much sealed the deal for me. :B

Win, win, win. Totally agree. I am not a big fan of Rifftrax, and any excitement I had about that quickly dissipated. It's going to very interesting to see if Joel and the gang still have that magic touch we all loved so much!

Win, win, win. The Star Wars Holiday Special! It's terrible! It's obscure! It richly deserves whatever they're going to dish out! It will be super fun at the same time! There's no "renting + paying" to rent: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=323909610753051544&q=star+wars+holiday+special&total=672&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=1Enjoy!

I have to agree with those who aren't excited by RiffTrax, but are by this. RiffTrax requires that I have to get a movie, and then have to buy the track online. Then I have to hope and play that one or the other doesn't skip or else it'll probably be off synch the whole movie. CT (please stop calling it anything else) is simple, straightforward, you pay for one thing and get it in a single package sort of thing. None of the hassle. Plus I'm probably going to get a DVD. I don't like using my computer as a video player.

I like all three efforts (TFC, CinTi, and Rifftrax). Each have *seemingly* enough of a difference from one another in my opinion to really fill that void without stepping on toes too much. Of course, I'll know for sure next week.

You will most likely not encounter any "skips" or other "synching" problems while watching the movie. Send me your email address at conor AT rifftrax DOT com and I will send you a certificate to try one RiffTrax movie for free. The "synching issue" is quite trivial, and I am sure that you have one of the close to fifty movies that we have riffed lying around your place.

Not a single one of the fifty (more contemporary) movies. I've spent all my money on MST. I'll take you up on your free certificate, and give it a try. Thank you for that!
